Perched on a cliff over looking the azure waters of the Mediterranean this is an exceptional location. I am sitting on the balcony of room 16 looking at the many activities going on below me. There is a fisherman on the rocks below, swimmers and snorkelers, families and groups of teenagers on canoes and a constant traffic of motor boats... More

I am writing this review on behalf of our daughter who stayed at Hotel La Vigie on the 12th of July 2014 for 1 night. She is backpacking through Europe and we had offered to shout her a birthday present of a night in accommodation rather than hostels. She chose La Vigie. In her words it's postcard perfect, the view... More

Where to start.... When we got to the hotel around 5pm the hotel was closed, a personal note was left on door for us to ring them, once we rang they did arrive promptly. The rooms were very "grubby", stained carpets and sheets, sink looked like it was going to fall off if any water added any weight to it,... More

The lady at the reception was extremely impolite! I have never seen anything like this in any hotel. Not a happy welcome. When we arrived in our room, we've noticed immediately how dirty it is. There was dust everywere, filth under the bed, hair in the bathroom,... It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. We went back to... More

We are actually staying here now! And we can't say how happy we are! From the exceptionally friendly staff to the incredible sea views from the rooms. It couldn't be more perfect!! The communial terrace is a great place too with a very familiar feeling. Such a warm welcome and high standard of customer service we have had. Highlt reccommend... More

A two star hotel with a million dollar view is the best description I can use. Perched high on a cliff next with views out over the harbor to the Mediterranean sea, Hotel Vigie makes up for it's small basic rooms with it's position The rooms are clean but the carpet is a bit worn but the towels are fluffy... I spent there a weekend after a couple of days in Barcelona. The hotel (and Cerbere) is very quiet and good for people tired after the stay in a loud city. Receptionist was very helpful and nice. I really wanted to speak French but after few words there was no problem with switching into English. The hotel itself is small... More

Wow! For a hotel with a VIEW stay here. You are literally on the "Med". On arrival we were welcomed with courtesy and, even given my brilliant French, the woman on duty recognised that I was not 100% fluent and helped with her perfect English. The breakfast was great and all the staff went out of their way to help.

The spot is great, the flow needs some caring, but definately worth while to follow up. Restaurant is closed now, redoing the place from Octobre. The village could use 1 or 2 better restaurants. Great sun bathing and snorkling and just be anonimously strawling. Have a banyuls, Catalonian white wine or a Pastis on the little square while local folks... More

Suspended impossibly on a cliff of shear rock, La Vigie is a wonderful glimpse into the architecture (and facilities) of late 50's? the receptionist didn't know. Basic, forget it if you are craving a trouser press. Plentiful hot water, power shower(water pressure, not style). Wardrobe thin as a slice of cheese, and...not much else, no silly bad repro prints of... More
