A lovely warm welcome from Jennifer Lopez look alike, alias Claudia. Originally, we came for one night but loved it so much we extended to four. Amazing setting with great views across countryside and breakfast outside on the terrace was idyllic. Our room was cool, spacious and comfortable. The pool was always quiet providing us with almost exclusive use. We... More

We only found it because our cycling directions were so good so watch out. It is so peaceful and quiet in the middle of the Italian countryside. The pool was a welcome place after a days cycling. Buy any drinks from the bar area rather than taking from your minibar as they are twice the price. In September take your... More

The hotel is located in a great position with fantastic views over the Tuscan valley. It is located in an ideal spot for visiting some great towns. The superior room was spacious and well refurbished given it is 800 years old. Service was good bit of a mixed bag, depending on who you get. Would recommend.

Very warm Italian hospitallity in a rebuild tradional Toscane housing! If you are looking for a small but very good stay in Toscany this is the place to go to. Away from the city but nearby Siena and surrounded but lovely villages and nature. There are lots of places to go to like wineries, thermal spa's, Florence etcetera.

We initially had some trouble finding the hotel as we put 'Sovicille' into our GPS and it took us to the town of Sovicille. Relais Borgo Di Stigliano is actually in the town of Stigliano. Once we realised that, our GPS got us there with ease. It's a very small but lovely hill town and the hotel itself is also... More

We just had one night to stay in this hotel which is in an elevated and quiet position with good views. When it was developed it was obviously carried out to a high standard (apart from the annoying shower curtain which is a personal pet hate!). It does now need some maintenance particularly around the pool tiling where subsidence or similar... More

This is in a beautiful quiet location in the hills near Rosia offering a good central base for exploring Tuscany - the wine trails, Siena and Florence, the medieval hilltop towns, Pisa and the coast. A car is essential but when the driver wants a day off there is lots of local walking in beautiful scenery. The room was spacious,... More

It was an adventure finding the place, but that was due to poor directions from the information office in Siena. The property itself was nice. It was just a short stay (one night) for us, but the young woman who checked us in and out was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in a nearby town and slept well... More

My partner and I and my Sister stayed at Relais Borgo Stigliano for 3 nights in June. Had a pleasant stay but expected more. Moira looked after us for most of our stay and she was fantastic! The rest of the staff were not aselpful and could not speak much English. Staff kept us awake in the mornings with loud... More

Wonderful location, close to Siena but in a perfectly preserved, secluded old village. Surrounded by national park where you can walk for miles, the views are classic Tuscany. Good pool in the hotel, very good breakfast for Italy(!) and very thoughtful staff. No restaurants in the village but great local recommendations in next villages.
