We lucked in when we booked this last minute B&B. As it turns out Il Borgo was closing for the season the next day. Our double room was upgraded to an apartment with a queen bed, shower, full kitchen , sitting room two twin beds and separate bathroom upstairs. The stone building was absolutely spectacular and very well appointed. There... More

This is a medieval residence offering appartments and few double rooms, with great restaurant. Located in a quite and relaxing venue in the heart of Tuscany, close to Siena and other places of interest (a car is a must). Really nice, friendly and helpull staff (girl at reception and both guys at the restaurant). Breakfast was rich. Appartment was perfect...cozy...clean...quality... More

My husband, son and his girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful 14th century "bed and breakfast". This was a welcome respite in between our busy visits to Florence and Venice. The grounds are lovely., in the middle of the Tuscan hills. We stayed in a charming two bedroom apartment, Le Arcate, two bathrooms, a small... More

Rented one of the larger houses for four days at the end of our trip around tuscany. its quite an interesting place - clearly renovated several years ago now (maybe 10 or 15 or so) and its holding up well but its not modern as it were. The swimming pool has good depth and the tennis court/football court works well... More

We stayed here for a week july 2014. The premise itself is a 600-year old beautiful building complex. There is a great, clean swimming pool, a good restaurant, and sporting facilities (bikes, soccer/tennis field, table tennis). The reception is excellent and friendly. The manager speaks English very well, just as the friendly young restaurant waiter. The older restaurant waiter is... More

This is by far the best place to totally relax! Everything is taken care of in a way that you feel like you're the only one that matters. The need to explore anything outside the Borgo starts vanishing on the day you arrive. From breakfast till late in the evening, you will feel at ease like you never knew you... More

My boyfriend and I spent a week at the Borgo II Poggiaccio. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! The staff, location, accommodations and food were all excellent. Highly recommend this place if you want a great central location to visit all that Tuscany has to offer!

My family and I just returned from a week in Italy and I can’t say enough good things about ….We all loved it – my two boys (ages 10 and 8) said it was “the best hotel” – they played basketball and tennis and ran around the grounds. We were there on Easter and we had our own Easter Egg... More

We had our wedding here in Sept 2013, and stayed a week. I first contacted Alfredo - the hotel's director - over a year ago. This villa was one of our top contenders - from what we could find online, the rooms looked gorgeous, the landscape beautiful, and the food delicious. After speaking with Alfredo, he swayed us with his... More

The Borgo is the perfect spot for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing and touring in Tuscany. The rooms are large, clean and nicely furnished. They are quite dark, but this is due to the very old building with small windows. The pool is cleaned every day and offers beautiful views over the sorrounding landscape. The restaurant is recommendable,... More
