Deapite being on the outskirts of a relatively ugly town this hostel is a great place to stay. It's run by Juan, a multilingual host who happily goes out of his way to help out. The rooms are cosy, though could do with hotter showers given how cold the nights are. The kitchen is well stocked and roomy and there's... More

The Finca San Pedro is first and foremost a family home and not a hotel. As in most homes, everything is not 'perfect' - for example my bedroom door required a sometimes painful push to open it. But on the other hand the bedroom itself was huge, with a large bathroom and decorated with family heirlooms. It would be difficult... More

We found Finca San Pedro through TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. This finca has been in Juan’s family for five generations. Juan is a world traveler who has taken his experience from the road and built a great place to stay that caters to travelers. My wife loved the yoga, our kids loved hanging out in the hammocks, and... More

We visited this place in April 2014, and pitched our own tent in the garden / campsite. Both the garden and the house & hostel are being improved by volunteers. As an example, the showers were just renovated and were painted in fresh colors, and hot water was plentiful. Juan is running the place, and he was extremely helpful to... More

Juan and his staff are excellent. The rooms are clean and the gardens are beautiful and breakfast was always excellent. When getting ready for a trip to the Paramo de Oceta, Juan took us to the supermarket the night before so we can prepare. You can't find a more hospitable host. There was even a bon fire with music and... More

Finca San Pedro is a nice and relaxing place to stay for a few days while exploring the towns and sights of the Sugamuxi region. There were several families with kids while we were there so that was fun for our kids as well. They loved hanging out in the hammock room and exploring the garden. There was a big... More

Amazing experience here. At the finca you have everything you need. The rooms are spacious and clean and there are many communal areas to spend time and meet other guests. Juan helped us with everything during our stay and really made this a special experience. Yoga in the morning (very good classes) and relaxing at the fire pit in the... More

I went to sogomoso to have a look around the lake. The finds is a little ways out of town, but that's what makes it so nice. I camped there for four nights, and had full access to everything that everyone else had access to. The nature around sogomoso is very nice, although the beach is a bit of a... More

We had a few days before our flight from Bogota and we were in El Cocuy and wanted a 1/2 way point. We decided to stay at Sogamoso and Finca San Pedro was in the Colombian guide book. It is run by Juan and his amazing mum. The house that has been transformed into a farm/hostal/ spiritual retreat has been... More

A friend recommended San Pedro and I'm so happy I decided to stay for their yoga course. Juan and his mother are incredibly friendly and have a wealth of knowledge about this beautiful region. Check out the local markets and cook for yourself!
