Filadelfia is around 5 hours away from Asunción. There are no real urban centers between the capital and Filadelfia, so it feel somewhat remote. It is a small city. I was not expecting such a nice hotel in this kind of location. It is simple, but clean and comfortable. There is a terraza in the middle with a lovely large... More

We stay at the Hotel Florida for three weeks at a time while visiting in the Chaco. It's a bit pricey for that length of time, but the service is wonderful and staff is friendly and very helpful. Price includes a buffet breakfast, and free internet. The last time we stayed we took one of the newer rooms and it... More

This is a basic hotel, but perfectly OK for a few days, and conveniently located for exploring the Dry Chaco. But if you are going north, make sure you have a very tough vehicle, the road is currently terrible (2014)

Stayed for 1 night on business. Room was excellent-very clean with satellite tv, heating and A/C and free wifi. You can hear noises rooms like plumbing etc so soundproofing is not perfect, and the maid left my shower window open so in the am there were 6 or 7 mosquitos in the shower to kill but those were only complaints.... My husband, daughter and I just came back from two night stay at this hotel, where we were greeted with amazing hospitality along with high level of cleanliness all around. We had two rooms on the ground level and slept without problems. Clean spacious rooms with excellent breakfast buffet. The staff went over and beyond to accommodate us and make... More

The hotel corresponds to a four-star-rating in Europe. Clean and pleasant, large rooms. The only small problem being that the rooms on the ground floor can hear noises (like moving chairs etc) from the rooms in the upper floor. Breakfast buffet (included) is excellent, service fast and efficient; hotel management very helpful. Internet in all rooms. German spoken, like everywhere... More

We spent two nights here on our trip to the Chaco region. This German run hotel has wonderful rooms in their new units. A/C was needed with 40C/104F temperatures during our visit. The newer units have advanced, ceiling mounted, remote controlled A/C units that are quieter and more efficient. We appreciated the 100% tile floors of the room, with no... More

The hotel Florida may seem sparsely decorated to travelers accustomed to nicer European or American hotels, but I'll guess that most people that end up in the middle of the Paraguayan Chaco aren't going to be complaining about dull bedspreads. The hotel is safe, clean, and affordable. Signs in the hotel are printed in German, Spanish, and English. The staff... More
