We were only in the village for one night and we booked into this lovely old convent right in the centre of the village. Rooms were pretty basic but clean. All rooms have twin beds. Would stay again but probably only for one night.

We originally planned to stay for 2 nights and we ended up staying 3. A great, very clean and excellently located hotel. Aircon worked well and we had 2 windows, one of them overlooking the old convent belfry. Rooms are spacious and the whole place is full of character matching Vejer charming whitewashed houses, labyrinth of narrow streets, moorish castle,... More

Quite remarkably good value from this charmingly converted old convent in this hill top town. As one would expect, it has high ceilings and all the architectural features expected in such buildings. The reception area is spacious and the service accommodating. Let down a little by a rusty, creaking and claustrophobic lift. No parking, but there is space on the... More

Set in an old convent, this really is an incredible place to stay at at this price. With a bit of investment, this building and location could easilly be a top end hotel so enjoy it while you can! The building is incredible, with super high ceilings, lots of original features, and several areas to relax and chill out in.... More

We booked this as a last minute booking through Booking.com and did not expect any thing BUT. The convent is right in the center of town with views from rooms up to 21 looking right across the valley up to 40 miles on a clear day. Room was basic but clean and bathroom clean and had everything you needed. We... More

Set in the high, old part of the town near to excellent views over the local countryside. The hotel is a converted convent and was economy rather than 3* with spartan bedding, limited breakfast, very patchy wifi and windows that had not been painted in years. Our wash basin and bathroom shelf were cracked and carpets were ageing.. As a... More

The Hotel Convento is an impressive building. The hotel has been created sympathetically within the original convent building. The dining room is the old refectory. The rooms are all tastefully furnished. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The hotel has a large bar which is used to exhibit paintings by local artists it is great just to linger over... More

Sometimes it is good to stay somewhere different, and we feel we achieved it with this one. A charming hotel, full of character, in a lovely but rather busy Vejer de la Frontera. The hotel has been sympathetically restored retaining much of the character of a convent. Our rooms were simply furnished with a small bathroom, anything more would not... More

its a very special hotel in a very picturesque setting in one of the pueblos blancos. I would agree with the other reviewers, that the hotel is as shown on the website - its very comfortable but not over the top. We went for the medio pension option and were delighted with the food in the evening, although the restaurant... More

The hotel is ouzing with character and the conversion from a convert has been sympathetically done with clean and welcoming bedrooms, good quality bed linens and towels and a simple bathroom. the air con is very effective, top tip - the bedroom mirror in our room was on the inside of the wardrobe door, found it as we were checking...
