This hotel is in a lovely setting in a lovely charming Spanish whitewash village. We have previously eaten here many years before and stayed at the Triperia the cheaper sister hotel that is adjoined to the main hotel. As it was our honeymoon we went for the nicest room. Sadly we found the service quite disappointing, no mention of the... More

I had always wanted to stay here after eating at the amazing restaurant and for our honeymoon my husband booked the Africa suite. The room is stunning and the bathroom is amazing with lovely views and decor. Breakfasts are delicious with some Moroccan style breads and pastries and squeeze your own orange juice! However, the service in the hotel is... More

This place was recommended to us by our guesthouse owners in Grazalema and we couldn't have been more pleased. Imagine entering a picture perfect white town and arriving at an exquisite main plaza (with the most gorgeous tile fountain) and then finding out that the Casa del Califa is right there. We came without reservations but luckily they weren't fully... More

A truly beautiful hotel full of nooks and crannies, lovely large rooms, huge bed and excellent restaurant. Located in the main square in Vejer the location couldn't be better! Staff were very helpful. There's no gym, pool or parking but I didn't care as everything else about the hotel is just about perfect. The only small downside was that the... More

Let's just say upfront that this was one of the best hotels that I have stayed in and it did not have a gym or pool. Superb position on Plaza Espana, loads of character, a great restaurant, a nice terrace bar and several diverse places to sit and enjoy. It's not a place for those who struggle with steps as... This is a very idiosyncratic hotel, a combination of a few townhouses into a quirky assembly of passages and rooms. Really comfortable and furnished with striking taste it is a great stopping point in one of the most beautiful of the ‘pueblos blancos’ which is just about ten minutes from the lovely beach at El Palmar. The food has a... More

I love this hotel. I have stayed here twice now, in different rooms. Every room is different in this rambling hotel, and each has its own unique features. The suites are definitely the best choice to make, and it really doesn't matter which one you choose. Anyone with mobility issues should definitely NOT choose this hotel. Multiple staircases lead in... More

Hotel Califa was was one of the most fascinating hotels we have ever encountered. Although our room was quite small ....it was jfine because there were so many other places to spend time within the hotel. Welcoming and cozy rooms around every corner.! The restaurant was the most romantic that we have ever been to....and the food was outstanding. BEAUTIFUL... More

We met the owner's father by chance over breakfast in the vaguely Moorish courtyard restaurant. So pleasant on the previous 2 nights we were back for more. It took a day to discover our Torre Suite was attached to a jumble of rooms cascading down the hillside from the Plaza. Multiple places within or outside our room to sit and... More
