This hotel bears a 2* rating outside though why not more I could not tell. Many ,many stairs. One feels to be in the medina in Fez. nooks and crannies abound. A climb to the bar terrace is worthwhile especially as its one of the few places that WiFi works. Our room was splendid, Torre the name, at the front... More

Having stayed in Vejer on a previous occasion ( at a lovely B and B) and eaten dinner at hotel Califa, I have been desperate to stay here ever since! So we did, last week , for 3 nights...BUT I made a mistake and chose their annex, No 1 Triperia.....partly because I was travelling with my 89- year old parents... More

Booked at last minute so got standard double. Ok for a evening, restaurant very nice however. Quite pricy. Nothing else open, march a bit like a ghost town here! Maybe wait till summer to visit or just drive through. Small bar opposite hotel very cheap and nice tapas. (Simple tapas).

We walked past this hotel whilst staying in the area and decided to book it for our wedding anniversary .The area is lovely and the Hotel unusual and beautiful .The room we chose was quirky being at the front of the Hotel and spanning across our private staircase one half being our bedroom and the other half the bathroom (room... Excellent hotel. Awesome food. Each room is decorated with a different motif. We stayed in the Africa suite. Very large, comfortable, great view. Some windows faced the town square the others the southern coast of Spain and Africa in the distance. The town is very small and quaint. The hotel is 45 min. from the port of Tarifa where cruises... From the moment that you walk through the door you enter another world. We have stayed at this hotel many times and it has been hard for us to leave. We always tell the reception staff the kind of room we require and they use their knowledge to accommodate us. We once arrived very tired and asked for a quiet... More

This converted hotel dates back to the Moors era, it has been beautifully restored and managed to keep it´s unique charm, the tiny little nooks and crannies, the immense thick walls, the amazing views from the outside bar on the terrace, we stayed in room 12 and had a lovely little patio just outside our room. Truly unique Staff amazingly... More

After a terrible experience at much more expensive place with rude staff and little effort we finally found the long long lost holiday here at hotel la case del califa. Great place, so charming, lovely people, local feel, top location, top service and fantastic price! The rooms are very cute with details in every corner and have a warm and... More

This hotel is a gem. It is an artfully restored/renovated series of houses cascading off the Plaza d'Espana in the heart of Vejer's old town. Rooms vary, some have stunning views of the white town and the surrounding valleys, some don't have views but are cosy and comfortable nonetheless. There is a large sun porch/lounge area to take in the... More

Together with my wife and our 3 months old baby we've been staying in this hotel 2 nights in Oct 2013. The room was big, well decorated, intimate and perfect to have a baby bed. Our bed was big as well. Breakfast was very generous (buffet) and tasty (fresh orange juice). We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which is... More
