Only stayed one night, and wished it had been longer. Considering where it is this hotel is amazing. The rooms are in blocks of 4 on 2 levels, resembling swiss chalets. The rooms are spacious and air conditioned, just far enough back from the coastline not to get seawater in the rooms!! Unfortunately there was a tour group staying so... More

If you are looking for an idyllic setting far from commercial tourism this is it. Baracoa is off the beaten track for Cuban tourism and the Villa Maguana is well outside Baracoa. Europeans have found it, but not Canadians. First of all the road is no big deal, nothing worth whining about. If you are riding a bike it is... More

Close to Baracoa (but watch out for the bad road...it's worth it, though!) a nice 'villa' where you can relax. There's mothing more to do than to relax, but it's a beautifull place to stay. There's a little private beach and about 100 meters away there's a public beach where in weekends many locals stay.

This place was one of the best hotels we stayed in. It's location is super beautiful close to the amazing National Park Alexander Humboldt. The hotel has four bungalows that have a vwry high standard right by the beach with an outdoor restaurant, super nice people, abs great food. Through its location right next to the beach (Atlantic ocean) and... More

We (4 pacs) were there in December 2012, sorry for writing this one and a half years later. The only bad thing (relative... see few lines later) about Villa Maguana is the road to there: it is just some 20km north of Baracoa on the road to Moa, but it takes 50 to 60 minutes to get there for the... I agree with the last poster...this is a little spot of paradise ! Unfortunately I only stayed one night as part of a tour but it was beautiful. (There was one negative in that the room bathroom and the toilets in the restaurant/bar area smelt bad but as I say, we only stayed one night)

We stayed there for one night on February 2013 on our way from Baracoa to Cayo Saetia. After 22 kilometers of hard road (approximately 50 min drive) we arrived in this hidden paradise. This is a totally ecologic designed hotel, which consists of separated two floor wooden buildings. Each floor consists of two really spacious rooms with balcony facing a... More

Quite isolated from Baracoa aprox. 22 km west for the town. Nice cabins but we didn't have enough water to shower in one of the cabin in the second floor, sadly. Food was good, no possibility to buy ice cream or other stuff at the hotel, and no internet access. The beach that was supposed to be one of the... More

We stayed 4 nights here, which wasn't long enough, even with very little to do. Just peaceful, pretty and (when we stayed there) very few other guests. Really nice rooms with balconies, a/c, and a nice rustic-but-very-comfortable feel. Food was passable (although the fish soup was superb, and breakfasts good) and cocktails wonderful. Just wonderful to have this little patch... More
