Upon arrival in Baracoa, we found La Rusa in bad disrepair. No hot water, ac not working, and plumbing in semi working order. After one night they transferred us to another hotel, and permantly closed the hotel. The staff was fantastic, friendly, honest, and caring. We arrived in Baracoa in the middle of a very stormy afternoon and as we did not have an arranged accomodation I was very happy to get a room in this hotel. It is some 35 CUC breakfast included. This hotel is awful... the room is really hold, the room small and the windows let the noise come in well the light in early morning so you cannot sleep. People around the hotel try tp ask you money for taking care your car...but they know all the staff in the hotel and it is like they try to push... More

I stayed for 6 days and only had a hot water shower 1 day. If you stay on an ocean side room, when it rains, it will come into your room. The staff are excellent, the management indifferent.
