I spent six nights and it was a perfect stay. Lovely hosts and family. Very hospitable, kind and used to having visitors. The housekeeper María is a real treasure and an excellent cook. The Laundry service she offered was as well perfect. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortably furnished and have a private bathroom. Everything is very clean and... More

We were in Baracoa for two nights and I wished we had booked some more days in this pleasant little town. It is a pleasure to visit the old center, the curch with the 'cruz de la parra', the chocolat house and the casa de trova where a rural band produced pleasant carribean sounds, not only for the tourists but... On our visit to Baracoa, Cuba, last November, my girlfriend and I stayed at the house of Rafael Navarro Gallardo. The service there was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable; the terrace had marvelous view of the sea and the place was quiet and relaxing. The food was great, especially the fish in coconut milk which a typical dish... More

I stayed there from 18-20th of March. It is a bed & breakfast (casa Privada) with 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms, one to each room. The owners, Rafael & Adis are very nice and cult people, the location of the casa is almost heart of Baracoa, 1 or 2 blocks, the rooms are spacious, clean and have airconditoning & fans.... More

The second floor of the casa is reserved for the guests, with two large, very bright rooms and an inside eating area (the rooftop terrace is also available). The hosts, and the staff -- particularly Maria -- were very friendly and helpful with a great sense of humour. Baracoa is a beautiful little town in a very pretty area, and... More

We had a great time at Adis and Rafael's place! The house has a beautiful roof terrace where you can sit and enjoy sunset. We stayed in the first floor, but would recommend asking for the upper rooms which are newer and brighter. Maria is an amazing cook and prepares huge portions of seafood in coconut sauce etc. The casa... More

We stayed with Rafael and Adis for 3 nights, and had a lovely stay. The roof top terrace is a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the Baracoan evening, and the breakfasts and dinners on the second floor terrace were well prepared, and very tasty! The casa is very well situated - close to the main square, restaurants and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The casa is centrally located within walking distance to the cultural and commercial centers and only 500 meters from the Cathedral and Casa de la Trova. Although centrally located, the casa sits in a small side street offering a tranquil atmosphere away from any city noise. The owners are both professors; Rafael a Geography professor and wife Adis an English and Computer Technology professor. Rafael, Adis and staff take pride in making every minute of your stay a memorable and warm experience. We offer two totally independent and spacious rooms. Both rooms have two beds each with extra space to accommodate more than two guests each. We offer total privacy since both rooms are located on the second floor. The rooms have balcony/terrace with rocking chairs, flower garden and healing plants. From the third floor terrace you will enjoy 360°views of the ocean, the mountains, as well as views of the city's roof tops. While relaxing on the terrace, you will enjoy the fresh breeze and the view of the ocean and the mountains; at night you can enjoy having a drink while gazing at the beautiful stars display. Each room offers its own private full bathroom with hot water 24 hours a day. Linens and towels are changed daily unless you order otherwise. There is a library with book exchange in different languages. Each room is equipped with air conditioning. We offer various other services like laundry services, bicycle rentals, schedule tours, salsa dance classes, Spanish classes, and Cuban cuisine classes (our specialties are fish in coconut milk and other local dishes). Adis is an expert in preparing local and traditional foods. The main house is occupied by Rafael and Adis. We strongly recommend you viewing our web page so you may have an idea about our facility. Keep in mind renovations/upgrades have taken place since the video was initially made. ... more   less
