My friend and I were desperate for a hotel after riding for a few hours in the rain from Labuan Bajo and so stayed at the Rima Hotel, the first we saw in Ruteng. The exterior looked welcoming and well lit up but overall I found the room, at 250,000 Rp for 2 people to be very poor value. The... More

i stopped in here on my way through Ruteng for the night. After reading the latest reviews I wasn't expecting much, however on first sight I thought it is nowhere as bad as what recent reviewers say. The room is a bit old and damp, the beds a bit soft, the floor a bit weird, but overall it was relatively... More

We spent one night in Rima Hotel during out trip in Flores. The hotel is good value for the price you pay, the beds are good, the blankets are very comfy. However what is really great about it is the receptionist, John. While we were there, I got very sick and had to go to the hospital. John accompanied me... More

We are budget travellers (60 plus) who enjoy travelling on our own as much as possible and staying in homey, inexpensive, but clean guesthouses with a private bathroom. We have found that it's difficult to find accommodation in Flores that fits our criteria, as the places that we can afford (up to 250000 rupiah) are quite run-down and unpleasant !... More

We stayed there for 1 night, because there aren't many good options in Ruteng. It was mostly a bad place (and pretty expensive compared to Flores prices). The rooms are badly furnished and dirty, the bathrooms as well. The staff is not really friendly and the hotel is along the main road across Flores, so very noisy (from within as... More

Was only hotel available in high season. Rooms are quite big, but very noisy. You can hear the conversation of your neighbours. Bedroom is kinda clean, but bathroom is not. Has a little bit of warm water, very small boiler. But ok for one night.

I stayed here for a night and the 'double' room we were given was actually a room with two bunk beds in it. The room itself was tiny and smelt very musty and damp. The beds were very old with lumpy matresses. At night the room got very cold and I had to sleep in a fleece. The hotel itself... More

We only stayed here because anywhere decent was already booked out. This place is simply awful and made my skin crawl. The public areas and rooms are dingy and dirty, service lethargic at best and way overpriced. We booked a triple room with an extra bed which we had to request several times before a mattress was finally delivered to... More

Nothing has changed it seems. Same comment: crappy rooms, poor breakfast, helpful owner. I wonder if other hotels in Retung provide the same value. ? Try others first. I paid 250.000 for a room with a terrible washroom. Too much! Breakfast consisted of a pancake, no jam, no butter. In general, Retung is at the bottom of my list of... More

The rooms are not nice. Overpriced and dirty. We went there only see the rooms. Not nice. And we asked is it possible to use Wi-Fi. Yep it was but we needed to give 25 000! I understand that you have to pay something, but 25 000 is too much. Not nice place.
