We stayed there one night. Good location within the island of Flores and near what to visit. The room is Western style. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the bathroom was clean with hot water. Breakfast convent.

Stayed one nght as part of a tour. A little overambitious squeezing 2 single beds into what was really only a single room. Not enough space for 2 people and one of the beds stuck out such that every time you moved around you smashed your knee. The crucifix on the wall must be used to the stream of oaths... More

This place is the same as the Hotel Susteran - the Kongregarsi Santa Maria Berdukacita is the full name of their order. It took me a lot of puzzling to work that one out, and it explains why you can't find a phone number for them. The number is 0385 22834.

Stayed at the convent for one night. Just needed a bed before moving on to Bajawa the following day. 160k. Small, basic single room. Shower with hot water was great! No wifi. Small breakfast - let them know what time the evening before. There's a 9pm curfew, which isn't much of a problem as there isn't a lot to do... More

We arrived very late at night but the nuns were awake to welcome us. The place was tidy and clean. Although the room I stayed was small but I could sleep peacefully. I dreamed of angels singing at the surrounding. The friendly faces of the nuns stay in my mind. They really have done the good job.

The hotel services are provided by the nunnery. It is a rather new complex of buildings. The rooms are sober but clean. People were friendly, but not very service oriented. The food at the breakfast was very basic, the blue band margarine quite raunchy. The doors close at 9pm, so a long night seems to be mandatory.

I think this is the best place to stay in Ruteng. Peaceful, clean and neat. Hot water is available as Ruteng is cool place. Feeling like going for retreat or meditation. There is chapel there. The nun take cares of the place. Due to strong wind at night, the electricity was on-off. So I slept early.

We stayed with our family in 2 rooms. There are different room sizes. We had a very small room with a small bathroom, but our 3 children had a huge room with a big bathroom. The breakfast is very simple. Beautiful surroundings, the garden is well maintained. Be aware that the gate closes at 9pm! Great value for money.

Wow, we really think this is the best place to stay in Ruteng. Clean, comfy beds, perfect pillows, hot shower, beautiful surrounds and lovely people. We woke to the Sisters singing sweet harmonies! Breakfast was good - bread, rice, egg, banana, tea and coffee. Thank you to the gorgeous Sisters for opening up your convent for tourists to stay. It... More
