I wasn't sure whether to rate this a 3 or a 4 - there's nothing wrong with it, it's just not as nice as the other B&Bs we stayed at in Cape Breton. The place felt fairly cramped to me and didn't offer much privacy from the hosts. But everything was clean and new, and the breakfast was fine. The... More

We stayed at this B&B during a visit to Cape Breton for Celtic Colours. We were up in that area for a concert. We arrived and were greeted by Kathleen and Alfred. We were in the front room, with the bathroom door that opens into the hall that many have complained about. It really wasn't a big deal. The door... More

Our hosts made us feel very welcome and provided a spotless room with a huge bathroom. Breakfast was great! They were concerned about us finding a place to eat at night and emailed in advance our choices along the way. A nice touch!

Made very welcome by owners. Lovely clean and pleasant accommodation. Bedroom a little small but bathroom enormous and sitting room available at all times where you can chat to the owners or sit quietly by yourself. Not marked as excellent as no tea and coffee facilities available. Otherwise excellent in every other way. Breakfast, hot or cold, excellent.

The MacLeod's are charming hosts and it clear how important it is to them that you enjoy your stay there and in Cape Breton. Their home is immaculate and comfortable. The location is central to the whole Cabot Trail. The road that leads to Meat Cove is also nearby. The breakfast Alfred made was delicious, a great start to a... More

Friendly hosts, lovely room, a rather large bathroom... and a yummy breakfast on a big table for all four of us! The location turned out to be fantastic - conveniently close to the White Point Trail, just off the Cabot Trail, and not as expensive as in the Cheticamp or Ingonish area... really good value for money!

A classic small (2-room) b&b in distant rural Cape Breton. The host and hostess were sociable, the breakfast was delicious. The room was smallish but prettily decorated, with an on-suite bathroom. There was a comfortable sitting room with lots of electrical outlets. We ate the boxed lunch we'd bought earlier on their deck. They had hummingbirds.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while touring the Cabot Trail. It is a lovely home with two guest rooms. The rooms are a good size and each have private baths. Our bed was the BEST and most comfortable bed in which I have ever slept. (Alfred later told me that they just bought it - so... More

We travelled as two couples from May 23rd 2015, through May 31st to Cape Breton, and were excited to stop over in Cape North for an evening with Alfred and Kathleen! We travel frequently and decided this would be a good alternative to a motel or cabin, and we were not disappointed. We arrived just after 6pm, and our hosts... More
