The MacLeod's are charming hosts and it clear how important it is to them that you enjoy your stay there and in Cape Breton. Their home is immaculate and comfortable. The location is central to the whole Cabot Trail. The road that leads to Meat Cove is also nearby. The breakfast Alfred made was delicious, a great start to a... More

Friendly hosts, lovely room, a rather large bathroom... and a yummy breakfast on a big table for all four of us! The location turned out to be fantastic - conveniently close to the White Point Trail, just off the Cabot Trail, and not as expensive as in the Cheticamp or Ingonish area... really good value for money!

A classic small (2-room) b&b in distant rural Cape Breton. The host and hostess were sociable, the breakfast was delicious. The room was smallish but prettily decorated, with an on-suite bathroom. There was a comfortable sitting room with lots of electrical outlets. We ate the boxed lunch we'd bought earlier on their deck. They had hummingbirds.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while touring the Cabot Trail. It is a lovely home with two guest rooms. The rooms are a good size and each have private baths. Our bed was the BEST and most comfortable bed in which I have ever slept. (Alfred later told me that they just bought it - so... More

We travelled as two couples from May 23rd 2015, through May 31st to Cape Breton, and were excited to stop over in Cape North for an evening with Alfred and Kathleen! We travel frequently and decided this would be a good alternative to a motel or cabin, and we were not disappointed. We arrived just after 6pm, and our hosts... More

Alfred meet us at the door...and showed us to our room...though a little small..and no sitting area in the room...We were able to sit in the Hosts living room & visit with Alfred..enjoyable.. Attention to detail was evident..Ensuite bathroom...very nice...lots of storage... One small problem...was we felt a little uncomfortable walking through the house to get to our room..I think... A very pleasant stop on our trip around Cape Breton with welcoming hosts Alfred and Kathleen. We had a nicely furnished bedroom with huge bathroom adjacent to a comfy sitting area. This B&B was spotlessly clean and modern. After dining at "Angie's" down the road we returned and spent an enjoyable evening with our hosts. We truly appreciated being able... More

We stayed here 2 nights had a very nice stay. Alfred & Kathleen were amazing hosts & Alfred's breakfast were simple yet very tasty & filling. I loved his strawberry jam! Our room was a tad small but we had a nice sitting area & large bathroom. Everything was super clean. You can't go wrong staying here; lovely hosts, nice... More

My mom and I stayed at this charming bed and breakfast for one night on our way through the magnificent Cabot Trail! The hosts Kathleen and Alfred were so friendly and welcoming. Our room was cute, spotless clean, with a beautiful ensuite bathroom attached. We had our own sitting area, where we enjoyed talking with the both of them. We... More

I had to find a place to break up my Cape Breton trip in two. Cape North seemed to be a natural stop, so, I found Country Haven. The price was right, with a cooked breakfast? I was sold. Upon arriving, the hosts were generally pleasant, but I could not say that they were very warm. The room was fine,... More
