Very comfortable, all staff were very helpful but in particular Leonardo was very flexible and helpful as was the owner, his father. A family run business and it shows that they care about the experience of their customers. Central location for driving around Tuscany. Great food, very pleasant atmosphere, clean rooms, outdoor terrace. Lots of space, authentic Italian decor -... More

We arrived at the Borgo Antico in Lucignano hot and tired after a day's walk on the Via Francigena from Siena (none of the potential refreshment stops was open on a Sunday). Leonardo, who was at the reception desk, kindly found us bottles of water while we checked in.He was very efficient and extremely helpful throughout our visit. The building... More

Borgo Antico is a really good choice for those who want to discover to small towns of Tuscany. So, if you are just looking to see Siena, this hotel might not be the best option. The hotel has big rooms, with a great view of the camp, and a really good restaurant (you should eat there at least one night).... More

If you have a car, the hotel is no more than a 15 minute drive to Siena, through of couple of very small villages and the Tuscan countryside... providing for a picturesque "commute" that is not at all unpleasant! Plus, there is a large (and free) parking lot across the street from the hotel so you don't have to worry... More

Stayed 1 night in May 2014 as part of a wider 51 day trip through parts of Europe. Paid €69 pn for each double motel room. Twins pushed together with king sheets, etc. Rooms 106 (grd flr) and 223 (2nd flr). Room 106 was larger and had a kettle and cups, etc. Room 223 did not. Both cost same price.... More

My husband and I were traveling to our rental in Montalcino when we were diverted by high waters due to heavy rains. At the last minute we had to find a place for the night. Having passed this Hotel earlier, we went back and lucky for us they were able to accomidate us. We were SO happy to see the... More

The room was very small and plain. We had dinner in the restaurant, it was full with only one girl serving so we waited one hour for the first course, then 45 minutes for the second. The dessert - just ice cream - took another 30 minutes. Breakfast was very basic.

We occupied a double room, found it comfortable, quiet and of a similar appearance to those on the website. We found the staff to be welcoming and efficient. Both dinner and breakfast were enjoyable. We would stay here again.

We had a bit of a mixed feelings in this hotel. The room we got was quite tired looking nothing like what they show on their website. However, the staff was very friendly and the restaurant cheered us up. The food was delicious and nicely presented and the house wine was good quality too. The waiters were friendly and efficient.... The staff was so friendly and welcoming! We called to let them know that we may be late checking in because of problems we were having in Pompei. They said not to worry that someone would be there for us. When we finally arrived, right at 10:00 pm they welcomed us with smiles and helped with our luggage. They even... More
