We stayed 8 days at this amazing place and fell in love with it. Everything was perfect - our room was large, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, breakfasts were delicious; the area surrounding the house is breathtakingly beautiful, rolling hills, pine trees, fields of wheat and clover - Tuscany at its best. The hosts, Laura and Luciano are very nice, warm... More

Everything about this place is perfect - the buildings, the garden, the pool, the breakfast, the hosts (Luciano & Laura), the dogs, the cats, the burros, the chickens, the horse....Il Canto del Sol is close to Siena and not a bad drive to other places in Tuscany. And it is so lovely, you don't have to leave to get a... More

Set in rolling countryside, this is an amazing mix of total tranquility, comfortable, quiet rooms, brilliant hosts, wonderful breakfasts and sup[erb location. If you want to explore the south, the walled towns, Siena, Chianti, I'd stay HERE. In fact we'll be back, no doubts at all.

Like everybody else on this site, we loved our three days at Il Canto del Sole. Hosts Laura and Luciano are very warm and serve a great breakfast (including gluten-free offerings we requested). The facility is spotless and comfortable. That said, I'd recommend it for longer stays than ours. It's a bit of a drive into Siena and by the... More

Our family of 4 (my wife, me and our 24 and 22 year old children) fell in love with this little countryside gem. It all started before even arriving as we stumbled upon a great restaurant (Il Contedino) just down the hill, not even knowing we were so close to Il Canto del Sole. After a wonderful lunch we made... More

Atop a hill outside a small village, surrounded by fields, this gave us a taste of the countryside in Tuscany. Views, especially sunsets, were dramatic, and there were lots of places to sit and have a cup of tea or glass of wine and enjoy them. We used this as a home base and took day trips to Siena and... My wife and I along with our two teenagers stayed at Il Canto del Sole for three nights in June 2014 following a three-night stay in Florence. We all had a great time. Laura and Luciano, along with their son Marco (and not to forget their many adorable pets and animals), are wonderful hosts! One night they prepared dinner for... More

We selected it because of all the great reviews! They were all true! It was the best guest house or B & B That we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Northern Italy. The food was marvelous with a very wide variety to choose from. Luciano met us in the afternoon with a bottle of his own wine, made... More

We loved the personal attention, cleanliness, their pets, breakfast always with a smile... Oh and the coffees, fantastic. The location is very central and was a perfect fit for our family. This was our HUB for the Tuscan countryside we were there for five days.

Our stay at Il Canto del Sole was perfect. The room was large and comfortable, and after staying in larger cities the quiet was welcoming. A perfect location for trips into Siena and surrounding Hill towns. Luciano was the perfect host. He helped with directions and restaurant recommendations (and even our laundry although i'm not sure he would want that... More
