Heaven, heaven, heaven, heaven. Do not go anywhere else in Italy. Large castle but still an intimate experience. Amazing food. Wonderful owners. No better value for money anywhere in Italy. We loved staying here for a week, even a week before Xmas when it was freezing and so many places were shut.

We drove to Castello di San Fabiano from Venice having spent what we thought would be a hard to top three days there. Adjusting to the much slower pace and - after trips to Montepulciano, Sienna, Montalcino, and San Gimignano - we realised that the castle itself and the immediately surrounding countryside were, in fact, quite the perfect location. Our... More

You could hardly wish to stay in a more picturesque setting - right in the heart of Tuscany. The castle itself is spectacular along with the surrounding countryside. If you want to escape the crowds then this is the place for you. Our hosts could not have been more helpful to us. They speak perfect English and are more than... More

My boyfriend booked this castle as a surprise on our trip around Italy - We stayed two nights and were treated with excellent service. A lovely home made breakfast each morning with delicious traditional breads and jams as well as meats, cheeses e.t.c, all made from fresh local produce. We had our every need met and our hosts Beatrice and... More

We stayed at the Castle of San Fabiano for 5 nights. We wanted a central location in the Tuscany region to be our base camp to travel from. We decided the castle was a perfect spot to do this from. We were not disappointed in our choice, in truth we were extremely happy to have found this B&B. Even though... More

We spent 4 night at Castello di San Fabiano and really enjoyed our stay. This was our based to visit Florence, Siena and Monteriggioni. The hosts Beatrice and Andrea are the owners and together with their sons were incredibly welcoming and helpful in giving us advice on restaurants to try, places to visit and even places to park in Florence... Andrea and Beatrice took over the family castle, modernised where necessary and are sharing it with their visitors. Delicious home cooking from own produce, dine in if you can. Good base near to Siena.

We stayed at Castello di San Fabiano for three nights during our honeymoon in Italy. We really enjoyed our stay, the family were so helpful and friendly. Andre and Beatrice were excellent hosts and gave us a lovely bottle of their home produced red wine. They gave us great advice on where to visit and what restaurants were good in... More

We stayed 3 nights to visit Siena and the beautiful Tuscan countryside and hill towns. This is the perfect base. Made unforgettable by the wonderful owners, and such fine produce transformed into tasty breakfast, snacks and dinner... The cooking class provides a peek into that process... Not to be missed. (The suite Donna Elsa is very pleasant and highly recommended).

We stayed at the Castello in July 2014 for four nights and were most impressed. Our hosts, Andrea and Beatrice, were very welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The Castello is surrounded by gardens and agricultural land so is very peaceful. There is a lovely swimming pool in the gardens that our two... More
