We have enjoyed our holiday at San Giovanni in poggio enormously and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the appartment, swimming pool, gardens but most of all the service provided by Francesco (the owner) and Arber (who speaks many languages). They are both very welcoming, pleasant and helpful and gave us many interesting ideas for things to do or... More

We have just returned from a three week holiday at San Giovanni in Poggio and would totally agree with all the other five star reviews. With nearly twenty years experience of self catering holidays in Tuscany, Umbria and the Marches, we can vouch that this is a truly wonderful place to stay! Because we booked late, we in fact stayed... More

Actually we don't want to write any review about this place, to keep it a secret for ourselves and our friends. It is an extraordinarily beautiful place and the apartments are great. Very complete with all the things you need. Very child friendly! The owner Francesco is a very nice man and his employee Arber's a whopper! In one word... More

I don't know who wrote all the wonderful reviews for this place but it was noisey (kids running around the echo-y farmhouse with interconnecting doors !! we wen't told about), no privacy on the patio as the kids ran around the house and the the worlds tinniest shower and very cheep decor (rag-rolled Ikea furnature made to look - in... We were surprised and shocked reading your feedback. Both the owner and the receptionist, Arber, were present every morning during your seven-day stay and you never made one complaint, not even at check-out when you said you had had a nice stay. Most importantly, the management will refuse and deny your false and offensive statements. The furnishings are all made... More

After a very long, tiresome search to find a nice place to stay near Sienna which would be both pretty and not extremely expensive we were so lucky to stumble across San Giovanni! I have no words for the beauty of the surroundings and the quality of the apartment. We stayed in "Alba" a two storey 80 sq.meter apartment with... More

Thank you Francesco and Arber! What a week to remember. We arrived during a heat wave that bothered us not at all. Our beautiful and comfortably cool apartment overlooked a pristine pool which was refreshing after a day of sightseeing. Francesco and Arber were warm and friendly and certainly made our trip exceptional with advice and directions. Most of all,... More

As soon as you turn into the white unimproved road to follow the last kilometers to San Giovanni in Poggio, you feel the wonderfulness of the overwhelming surroundings! With every bend in the road the view changes and it looks amazing. And suddenly we recognize San Giovanni in the distance from the pictures we saw at their website. What a... More

We stayed here based on a recommendation from some friends, this place lived up to everything they said and more! The location and views couldn't be more beautiful, you wake up in a morning and look out and think this place is special. The standard of accomodation is first class, you cannot find fault. We stayed in Crepuscolo a one... More

Waking up in a quite atmosphere, taking shower with a view over the green fileds with sheeps, enjoying the dinner with candle on the table beside open fire... Just unforgatable! Very close to Siena, San Giminiano and other nice places. Mr. Francesco, the owner very warm person wishing to his visitors to feel relax and comfortable. Our family is hardly... More

My wife found San Giovanni in Poggio after a pretty exhaustive search online. We had been to Tuscany before but never imagined having a 360 degree view of rolling hills right from our windows. Every angle was incredible and seeing Siena in the distance was nice too. We were actually laughing as we rode up the hill because it was... More
