Excellent place for those seeking a beautiful, quiet location in the middle of the Tuscan countryside. We have now stayed here for a couple of times and love the stunning views, the good quality of the apartments and the pool and not the least the always helpful approach from Francesco with our big and small questions. We only hesitate to... More

Beautiful location and great service. 3 adults stayed at this location with plenty of room in the Alba apartment. Great central location to visit Siena, winery regions and small Tuscan towns, a hire car is required. Pool was an added bonus to relax and cool off, after our sight seeing in the summer heat. Although the lovely apartments are built... More

Quiet farmhouse with excellent classic Tuscan views all round. If you have your own car to get around then you need not look further. Don't bother with characterless hotel rooms. Apartments here are nicely furnished with great facilities. Pool was excellent and compound is clean and neatly maintained. Spent few days here exploring the Val d'orcia area and was peaceful... My wife and I stayed here in early June 2015 and absolutely loved it! Quiet and beautiful was just what we needed in between stops in busy and crowded cities like Rome and Florence. The service was excellent. On our arrival thunderstorms were just rolling through the region and Valentina was fantastic getting us set-up before the storm and helped... More

We have just completed a relaxing week at San Giovanni in Poggio before moving on for a city break in Florence. We were met by Valentina who along with Franceso provided a warm welcome and useful tips to make our holiday truly special. The property sits on a hilltop and the 360 degree views of the Tuscany countryside are simply... More

We were very pleased to be back here for the second time and were very happy to meet Francesco again! He is such a helpfull and kind host! This time the lovely Valentina was at his side as his assistent! Although it... More

If you want to relax and refill with energy in a beautiful and calm place - this is it! You can enjoy the wonderful view all around - the green hills, the blue sky, and just breath deeply :) Please don't go if you're noisy ;)

We simply cannot say enough good things about this property and it's management. We spent a wonderful week there following a Transatlantic cruise. Our stay began on Monday, April 27, 2015.through May 4, 2015. The restoration of this truly fantastic property is simply out of this world. Interwoven with its rustic charm is every modem feature a traveler could want.including... More

It's not just the farmhouse that is so divine it's the whole region of Tuscany that makes me feel like I have returned home. My family of 5 (3 children under 4 years of age) stayed at San Giovanni Poggio in the separate house named Meriggio, which consisted of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. As we stayed there over New... In mid October 2014, we (3 couples) stayed in the apartments in this centuries-old restored farmhouse in Monteroni d'Arbia, a small town about 30-40 minutes from Sienna. The town has several good restaurants and a good co-op supermarket. The farmhouse sits on top of a hill with stunning views. The apartments were spacious, well equipped, modern and yet rustic in...
