It's not just the farmhouse that is so divine it's the whole region of Tuscany that makes me feel like I have returned home. My family of 5 (3 children under 4 years of age) stayed at San Giovanni Poggio in the separate house named Meriggio, which consisted of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. As we stayed there over New... In mid October 2014, we (3 couples) stayed in the apartments in this centuries-old restored farmhouse in Monteroni d'Arbia, a small town about 30-40 minutes from Sienna. The town has several good restaurants and a good co-op supermarket. The farmhouse sits on top of a hill with stunning views. The apartments were spacious, well equipped, modern and yet rustic in... Stayed 5 beautiful days, would have stayed longer. Very well equipped apartments, stunning views, quiet and peace, all within easy driving distance of Sienna, Montalcino, Montepulciano... As long as you keep in mind that these are rental apartments in the countryside, you cannot be dissapointed. Francesco will provide exactly the level of help you want - not much if you... More

We had the pleasure of staying here early October. It was the perfect place and just what we were looking for when we decided to visit Tuscany. We had the apartments that adjoined together as our son and daughter-in-law were traveling with us. Both apartments had stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It was awesome, can't say enough about Francesco... More

we really enjoyed staying at san giovanni in poggio..the peaceful surrounding with the cicadas (?) and the sound of the sheep with their little bells in the evening. the detached cottage was very spacious and well equipped. the owner Francesco and his staff did even give so much effort to make the stay with our son in wheelchair very comfortable.... My favourite place to stay in Tuscany . Tranquil and ideal for relaxation. Having stayed in 2 apartments, I would recommend booking the upstairs accommodation. Perfect hosts who are there in the background for help and advice but keep a low profile to maintain peace and a sense of calm.

This was the most tranquil destination of our trip to Italy end of May/beginning of June 2014. The views are breathtaking. You can imagine old movies with Italian countryside, hills rolling the one after the other with lines of cypress trees. This is what you will see at San Giovanni, every corner around the building has these marvelous views. Be... More

"We really enjoyed our staying at San Giovanni in Poggio. Well equipped apartment, with dish washer, washing machine, good kitchen, cable tv, good bedroom and bathroom too. The view outside is fantastic. Peaceful and silent place. Location is also very good: the small town of Monteroni is just a few minutes away and we found there everything we need (good... More

Spent a few days in this heaven of a place. Totally away from all city and town life yet offering exceptional surroundings. The owner, Francesco, always available to help, loves the short chat, goes out of his way to recommend best places to visit, prepares all the necessary tourist info to provide his guest with. If you love walking along... More
