I was expecting a little more from hotel Ambato. Room was fine but not luxury. One of the restaurants was closed maybe for lack of people in demand. Food was the best of the trip. It offers local traditional food with great taste. ( although I didn't like not having the peanut gravy on top of the Yapingachos) You have... More

Stayed in hotel Ambato, nice well furnished rooms, helpful staff, good breakfast. Pros: kids stay free, breakfast central location, view from hotel/room. Cons: no AC or climate control, rooms can get very hot in the afternoon. No pool. Poor wifi signals.

OK hotel but nothing special. The room was nice with a comfortable bed, but very hard large pillows. The room was very clean. The Flat screen TV had one English speaking channel. No refrigerator in room. Dinner in hotel restaurant was very good.

Friendly staff. Clean. Stayed there in a business trip. Beds are very hard. Lowsy imternet. They organize weddings and other events and they are terribly noisy. Especially thursdats to saturdays. They offer bikes to get around town, but they do not work.

The room was larger than some rooms in independently owned Ecuadorian hotels and reasonably comfortable. I found the area it was in convenient, having all the shops and restaurants I needed. Several blocks away there is a nice park to have your morning coffee in. The breakfast buffet was perhaps even a little above average and with very good service.... More

This was our first visit to Ambato. The hotel appears to be a new hotel, but way out from the center of town; and also way overpriced for the value. The room was okay, but overlooked backyards filled with trash and barking dogs. Staff were helpful and nice, but couldn't make up for what doesn't exist. Cheaper and more comfortable... More

I recently stayed here in mid December as a walk in. The hotel property, views, staff and nearly everything were great. The only lacking part of the property was the room. The beds were very poor and the room was barely acceptable. For the same money you can get a much better room in town. That being said, I enjoyed... More

Incredibly rude, barbaric school children who were screaming from when they got back at around 11 to around 1 in the morning. Nothing was done to stop them and the curtains let in all light so got no sleep due to the motion activated lights and due to children actually looking into my room. Have had a much better night... I stayed at the Hotel Ambato for 4 days. It is an excellent hotel, with great and personal service. The cost per night is a bargain. All the rooms are spotless and spacious. The food manager Alejandro Vaca speaks English, and is as pleasant a person as you will ever meet. I recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Ambato.... More
