Villa la Palagina is one of the best hotels I have ever visited, felt like coming home.Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in an amazing place in the countryside,we came from Florence by train to Figline Valdarno (25 minutes) Had a superior room (spacious) which had terrific views to the pools and the hills, beds were very very good and... Stayed at the hotel for 5days and it was fabulous. The views of the countryside were amazing. The staff at the hotel were excellent and Fabio, the restaurant manager was exceptional. The food was some of the best we have ever had in the area. We took the recommended Chianti wine trip which took us to some wonderful villages and... More

We spent 2 days at the end of our Italy tour here. The Villa is amazing. 2 infinity pools over looking the countryside. Our room was a living room, spacious bedroom and a beautiful marble bathroom. The service was outstanding . The grounds were very well kept. The food spectacular. If you are looking to relax in luxury and style,... More

We had a junior suite [rm 32] that overlooked the valley, with wonderful views day and night [we watched the full moon rise and move across the valley]. The bath was huge, the room nice-sized. The first night we left the windows open ... and paid for it with countless mosquito bites ... so we switched to the AC [which... More

We have stayed four days in the villa in one of the superior rooms. The room was very large and comfortable. Excellent restaurant, however due to a fixed and limited menu choice we would have a difficulty to choose the fifth dinner. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location is superb in the middle of the wine yards and olive... More

The location of this three-star hotel is tremendous! Even on these rainy days, it is beautiful with views of Tuscan countryside from every window. Room was a large size for an upgraded room, but they should lose the polyester printed bedspread and place a white duvet cover with perhaps a brown coverlet on the bottom to tie in heavy drapes.... My family of three stayed in the villa, and loved it. We were there in July of 2013. We got a car and went around the whole countryside, always coming back for dinner at the hotel. I was very pleased with the menu. The pool was cold, but refreshing after a day of exploring the area. Overall, an unexpected gem.

Beautiful, old hotel, located on the Chianti route in the middle of the Chianti region. Superb view from the terrace and pool over the valley. Very friendly and helpful staff. We did have an apartment in the casa dei frutteti (“fruit house”), and that was not well located, and had no nice view over the valley. From the terrace, we... More

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in Villa La Palagina. It really is a VERY special place. A truly authentic setting with an unspoilt landscape. No accident that Sting from Police owns the Villa next door!! The accommodation, food and pool are just stunning. The highlight for us though is always Eric and his fabulous team of... More
