I was so impressed with my stay at this lovely hotel last year, that I knew I would return and have just spent a week enjoying a wonderful relaxing time again. The setting of this hotel is glorious and the rooms are really beautiful, with finishing touches in my room such as gardenia soaps, olive oil made on the premises,... More

This hotel is decently located between outlet malls, great vineyards representing the Chanti region, but the hotel itself is very average. It doesn't have an elevator and doesn't have a porter service which makes its inconvenient for families with large luggages, small bathroom and rather poorly lit bedrooms. The hotel is slightly dated so the furniture appears and feels slightly... More

The location of this hotel is absolutely gorgeous, looking out over the Valdarno valley from its hilltop. Vinyards, green hills, flowers, sun and la dolce vita... it doesn't get more Tuscan than this. The rooms are beautiful, large garden, 2 swimming pools and a talented chef in the kitchen. Kudos to GM Eric Veroliemeulen for the impeccable service and personal... More

This is a nice place, located in the country side in Tuscany. It is a tad isolated, so do not expect to be walking to the shops or similar. We stayed for 2 days as part of a group tour, it was fantastic. We had two evening meals at the restaurant, both of which were a delight, as good as... More

We had a most lovely stay in early April in this gorgeous villa, which overlooks the pleasant hills of Valdarno, just a stone through away from Chianti. Our room (standard) was spacious and comfortable. The gardens are well manicured and the two swimming pools are stunning. We had dinner at the restaurant and the tasting menu (5 courses) was well... A great place to stay. We stayed whilst on a back roads tour and couldn't fault the service or rooms. Don't overlook this hotel with others of a higher rating. Great views from two pools, peaceful walks and good facilities make this place a highlight in a beautiful region of Italy. The only downside was that wifi was available only... More

My wife and I had always fancied a trip to Tuscany and a stay in a villa. We were not disappointed. We stayed in this Villa (early Sept 2014) as part of a Backroads of Italy tour and we loved it. The hotel was peaceful, service was first class and our rooms were very comfortable indeed. From the hotel the... More

Found La Palagina by chance looking for a place to spend 3 days before embarking on a cruise out of Civitavecchia. Decided that we would rather explore Florence than Rome. This turned out to be a highlight of trip with several to choose from. This property is easily accessible from the Autostrada A1, a major freeway that connects most of... More

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a week long tour of Tuscan towns and cities: they certainly saved the best til last. Eric, the Direttore, and his team provided a warm welcome. Our room was delightfully furnished in shades of blue with an attractive four poster bed and a balcony affording views across the surrounding countryside.... More

Stayed there end of October for three nights whilst on a wine tour of the region. Eight blokes from an Investment Club spending their earnings!! Looked after by a brilliant Tour Leader and driver - Anna Maria Madaffari at cooltoursbyanna@gmail.com. She booked the hotel for us and planned a great tour. The hotel was really lovely and the food and... More
