Located about an hour's drive from Florence, Italy airport. A beautifully restored villa with a wonderful combination of old and new world. Quiet, classical labyrinthine gardens, typical courtyard, rooms full of antique farm and wine press equipment, and then wooden hallways have lights embedded in glass along the floors, glass and stainless steel lobby. Room pleasant and large if a... More

According to the information I was given, the hotel is part of an old building originally built in 1392. Our room was very comfortable and had a great view of the yard and the old city wall. The decor was a step above the usual hotel decor and the bathroom was very modern and clean but the lighting was terrible... More

The hotel is on a great location: close to Firenze and still affordable. The hotel is an old building, fully restored. The garden and the patios are magnificent. The city wall (including a genuine watch tower) are surrounding the garden. The comfort of the rooms is basic however: shower is saving so much water that only a water fog is... More

My husband and I stayed for five nights as part of a set travel package we'd purchased. We had a lot of trouble finding the reception desk as the travel info we received from "Great Value Vacations" noted the address as 84 Via Castelguinelli. We entered this into the gps and ended up on a dark street (around 5:30 pm... More

I stayed here in September. There were good points and bad points for me. I love spas and it was the main reason I was excited about this hotel. Unfortunately, they are not committed to your enjoyment of their spa. Turns out it's only open after 5 pm. Really!!! That's when I come back from a day of sight seeing,... More

We bought a vacation deal that included this hotel. We really enjoyed the grounds and the people. The room was fine and clean. We don't have a lot of requirements for a room..heat/ac...clean and everything works....plenty of towels and a nice view. The breakfast buffet was really good and helped to start the day off walking around hill towns just... More

Time and space do not permit me to adequately review this property. Suffice it to say it is as near to perfection as one could experience in a lifetime. It's history is rich yet very mysterious. We were blessed to have a tour guide for just our small family group and she was simply amazing with the history she knew... More

This extremely nice place was the set escape that by boyfriend and I chose for our anniversary and honestly it was even better in person compared to what you see in pictures. The location is peaceful as it is a little on the country side, very private like in a tiny medieval suburb yet very close to Florence. So we... More

Villa Casagrande is a lovely property. Very nicely restored. The Villa offers a lot of space to relax or read a book. The breakfast room is very spacious and opens to a yard in summer time. Breakfast could be better.

This beautiful villa with all the modern amenities (wi-fi, restaurant, spa) is an ideal spot for those wanting a small-town experience with the ability to buzz into Florence or other towns in Tuscany. The cooking class offered at the Villa is outstanding. Dona Paola is a spectacular teacher who can make anyone into a Tuscan cook. The restaurant on site... More
