We booked one of the few appartments at villa casagrande because of the strategic position in Tuscany. 30 minutes by train to Florence and also rather close to Arrezo, Greve in Chianti and Sienna. Unfornately the appartment we were given was not clean, mould in the shower, and also the toiletbrush was disguisting. Also don't expect any dishwash soap or... More

This hotel was the most atmospheric and magical place I have stayed in Italy. It is a 14th century walled palazzo in the small, friendly and busy town of Figline Valdarno, only 25 km from Florence. Walking through the gardens one evening I realized that there was no trace of the 21st century in sight with just the ancient walls,... More

We just came back from 10 days at Hotel Casagrande. It is a stunning, partly ancient place in a beautiful little village in Toscane. We really liked the place but have a few general comments and would not recommend going their with small children. First, the hotel advertises with a nice outdoor pool but on arrival we found out that... More

Our party of five stayed at Villa Casa Grande in three rooms from June 15-20. We used the hotel as a base to explore the hills towns of central Italy and it was conveniently located for that. There were many positives to this hotel. The hotel itself is a beautiful mix of old and new. The three rooms that we... More

We enjoyed our stay at Figline Valdarno. Casagrande was not our first choice, as other hotels were booked. Walked to the train station. Didn't have to hang with throngs of tourists. Dinners in town were good. So why 4 stars? Getting from parking to our room was an annoying maze. I did not care for the hodge pudge of decorations... More

Our experience at Villa Casagrande was amazing. The hotel was very nice and the staff very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very good. Our best experience there was the cooking class. Our two lovely ladies showed us a wonderful time. If you visit this place I would highly recommend the class. The class was so much fun and the... More

I stayed in this hotel for the second time and would say that they have upgraded it bit. The rooms are cold and have a rustic feel to it. It would be good in summers but winters I feel it would have a problem to keep warm. The rooms are clean and tidy. The staff is helpful and warm. The... More

I got a coupon on groupon to have a day at the spa with my friend. We had such a good time. The place is wonderful, surrounded by the hills and with a perfect country view. The ladies either at the reception or in the spa were so helpful and nice. We got there earlier since we didn't know the... More

My husband and I loved our stay in at Villa Casagrande, the front receptionist (gentleman who's dark with green eyes) helped all our needs, exceptional customer service. Loved the cooking lesson in the original kitchen, it's definitely our high-light of the trip, the italian ladies were sooo sooo nice and the food was unbelievable. Highly recommended!
