Just back from a trip to Tuscany that included the bread making course offered by La Limonaia and we had a really fantastic time.Giulio is a charming and attentive host and Viola is a frenetic, but delightful whirlwind of knowledge, skill and a cloud of flour. If you want to learn to a process (and I use that word deliberately)... more

My husband and I stayed at La Limonaia last March 2008. I cannot say enough good things about Guilio and Christina. They both made our stay so comfortable. The rooms themselves are beautiful, decorated in the Tuscan style. The residence is in the beautiful Italian countryside. The view from the rooms were phenomenal. I wish I was there now! My... more

During our fabulous 3 week honeymoon in Italy, our stay with Giulio and Christina was by far the best. I'm not sure where to even begin. These two are the sort of rare gems you meet once in awhile and consider yourself lucky for having had the pleasure to know them. I was so impressed by them, their B&B and... more

We stayed at La Limonaia for five nights at the end of September. When we arrived at La Limonaia, I didn't realize how special it was going to be here in the hills of Bagno di Ripoli. Giulio had a fabulous lunch waiting for us, including cheeses, olives, bread, wine and much more. We went on three different "tours" with... more

Well, let me first say that we had SUCH high hopes for this part of our honeymoon staying at La Limonaia. I was looking forward to experiencing all the wonderful things that the reviews reported, but we very unfortunately did not have the glorious stay that we so expected we would. It started off real rocky and only went down... more

Words can not describe the amazing experience my husband and I had on our honeymoon at La Limonaia. From the moment we arrived Giulio and Christina made us feel like we were at our new home in Italy. The grounds and houses of their estabilishment are amazing-- a quiet relaxing tuscan retreat from the crazy lives we are used to... more

We really enoyed Gulio's accommodations and recommendations in the hills of Florence. He was a wonderful help with wine tours as well as providing a great experience at his bed and breakfast for us. My wife and I were very pleased. We're pretty picky, as we know Tuscan flavors and culture; his help went above and beyond traditional Italian hospitality.... more

The Italian experience is all about the people. Friendly and welcoming, passionate about life, food, wine, friends and family. That is the experience you get at La Limonaia, where you are greeted for the first time like you have just returned from being away, with a glass of wine and some delicious little somethings while they get to know you.... more

What can you say about La Limonaia that has not been said already in all its glowing reviews. Simply, that Giulio and Christina have created a Tuscan experience that is the best at what it does. Whether it's the postcard setting among the olive trees overlooking Florence or the sauce class or the saffon tour to San Gimigiano; all details... more
