We stayed at The Casa Palmira for the final part of our trip to Tuscany for two nights. It is the most incredible place with amazing hosts. We arrived by public transport with two rucksacks, the bus stop is right outside. Firenze is a short bus ride and a reliable service. Our kind hosts offered to take us by car... More

This was our second visit to Casa Palmira and we weren't disappointed. Assunta and Stefano are gracious and welcoming hosts. We arrived a little early, about noon and fortunately our room was ready. As we were tired we decided to stay a while and read in the garden. A short while later Assunta asked us to join her and Stefano... More

Casa Palmira is a unique place to stay in the countryside. There were certain aspects that I enjoyed and others that I found to be disappointing. Pros: - The farmhouse is tastefully decorated and has a very interesting history. - Assunta was helpful when providing recommendations for places to visit in Florence (great restaurant and gelato spot), as well as... I stayed at the gorgeous Casa Palmira for 3 nights- I had the most wonderful experience. The B&B is set int he stunning Tuscan hills, the building is everything you dream of in an Italian rustic farmhouse. The rooms are spotless and the decor throughout is homey, inviting and comfortable. You can listen to owe hooting at night and awake to... More

I booked this bed & breakfast for our short visit to Italy. The reviews were all great, and I can see why. The owners - Assunta & Steffano are lovely hosts and extremely warm and friendly. We didn't hire a car during our visit which meant we used public transport during our stay, this was fine but we were restricted... More

My wife and I spent 5 nights at Casa Palmira and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's located in the hills above Fiesole about 10 km from Florence. Florence is easily accessible by car or the SITA bus that stops on Via Faentina in front of the property. I'd recommend the SITA bus for day trips to Florence as driving/parking in Florence... More

Away from the hustle bustle of today's Florence, but still within a 20-minute drive from it, if one is looking to stay in a country house that has character, nestled in the Tuscan Hills behind Fiesole, this is the right place. Character, charm, age, stated beauty, peacefulness are a few of the adjectives I could find to reminisce of our... More

It has been my wife's dream to go to Tuscany since I can remember. We travelled to Europe from our home in Nova Scotia Canada with just backpacks and a Euro Rail pass. We booked places to stay as we went, seeing as much as we could each day. We saved Tuscany towards the end to be our relaxing part... More

Casa Palmira was an amazing experience. Starting for the owners, a super nice couple that makes you feel immediately home. The place is really nice too, super cozy, a true tuscan atmosphere, comfortable and with a delicious breakfast. Its very close to Firenze and within a reasonable distance from many great destinations, do its good to base there and hang... More

Our family spent 4 nights here (28-31 July 2013) and loved it. We were looking for a place in the hills outside of Florence so that at the end of the day we could "retreat" and just relax and unwind - Casa Palmira fit that to a "T". Assunta and Stefano are warm, gracious and accommodating hosts who went out... More
