We have been traveling the Canal du Midi by boat for many years and this year, chose to stay at the Neptune for several nights. The gracious hosts made us feel comfortable immediately. A refrigerator is available for guests to use and when we asked for a corkscrew, we were offered glasses, plates etc. for our "happy hour" on the... More

It would appear that a hire boat on the canal du midi can do about 65 km a day. We found that, when cycling the canal, many of the stages would be about 65km. There were many more choices if you were prepared to ride an extra 5km, but we found that the roads into major towns were not very... More

We spent three nights here while exploring the Canal du Midi, and could not have been more pleased. The village itself is one of the best that we visited, with just enough activity to make it lively but not too touristic. There are choices to eat in the village, as well as a small grocery and a fabulous used bookstore.... More

A great place to stay. The hosts are very helpful and speak very good English . We were given info and maps to explore the surrounding areas. Grocery store a short drive away. Large room overlooking the canal. Laundry facilities for a small fee was an added bonus as we we had been on the road for a couple of... More

Good location at the side of the Canal du Midi in Le Somail. The couple who own it are from Bruges and we were their first guests of the season. The room we had was on the first floor, spacious, overlooked the canal and the bridge and was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was an odd shape and basic with... More

We recently spent 3 nights at Le Neptune while attending a friends wedding nearby. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the lovely airy room, the canal view, nice breakfast on front terrace and the relaxed atmosphere. The room and bathroom was also sparkling clean and we were nicely surprised to have a daily change of towels. Not always the case... More

We recently spent two nights at Le Neptune and have never been made to feel more welcome anywhere else! Both the owners couldn't have done anything possibly more to make us feel at home, they were friendly and helpful without being over the top and were very kind to our daughter. The rooms are extremely spacious and airy, high ceilings... More
