Stayed for two nights while working in the area. Received a warm welcome from Margaret, was given a comfortable room looking out the front of the house which gets a cracking sunset over the open expanses of North Uist (weather permitting!) and was given a lovely breakfast each morning also. No evening meal option here, although there is a restaurant... More

Ardnastruban House is off the main road and very easy to find. It's a peaceful spot with beautiful, well-tended gardens and a gorgeous view of tidal lochs and grazing horses. Our hosts, Margaret and Stewart, welcomed us with a nice pot of tea and delicious cake and scones, which was so nice on a chilly and blustery day. They are... More

A refreshing, pleasant and welcoming home. A good place to stay on your travels in North Uist. A good breakfast to set you up for the day. We stayed on night on our travels north through the Outer Hebrides.

We were warmly welcomed by Margaret - she and Stewart were excellent hosts. We had all 3 rooms for 2 nights. The view from the double room and dining/sitting room was wonderful. Breakfast was superb - delicious kippers. Location good - we cycled there from Barra and went on to Harris. Overall Ardnastruban was so good we're going back again... More

Margaret and Stewart greeted us warmly on a cold and windy day. We were helped in with our cases and treated to hot drinks and home made cake. We had a breakfast to die for from a menu giving a large selection of options. Our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and were very kind and helpful. The house... More

Boyd and I stayed two nights here and could have stayed another three just to see everything. Margaret and Stewart were lovely hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. They were very informative about the local sights and events. The room was large and very clean with lots of little extras which made it like home. The en-suite was a... More

Great hospitality, wonderful room, fantastic breakfast and a very quiet location. The ideal location to relax after a touring around and well worth to stay more than 3 nights. I really would recommend this location when traveling the southern hebrides Isles.

Perfect hosts in a fabulous part of the world. There is so much to see and do in the area that, ideally, you need to stay with Margaret and Stewart for more than 1 night. We were cycling through the Outer Hebrides and we were made so welcome and were extremely comfortable at their spotless home. We were sad to... More

We had a lovely overnight stay at Ardnastruban House. Margaret and Stewart were so friendly and helpful, giving us lots of welcome advice on where to visit. They have a lovely spot just over the causeway and our room was very comfortable. We had a delicious breakfast overlooking the beautiful garden and lochs. It was nice that they had time... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a perfect stay!!. The room was very clean and very nicely decorated, with wonderful views to the garden and surroundings. Very delicious and extensive breakfast and Stewart and Margaret are so supportive, helped us with information, maps, binoculars on what to see and where to go. Answered all our questions and...
