Came of the 6:45pm ferry from Uig landing at 8:30pm. Hotel is a stones throw from the ferry terminal. Room I booked was a single room b&b £55. Room had a double bed clean bedding, en suite fresh with clean towels. Plenty of hot water. Didn't eat evening meal (are on the ferry). Had a couple pints in the public... More

Stayed 5 days in October2014 on a fly fishing trip. Location, perfect. Room, very comfortable. Proprietor and staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Food was very good. All in all, I had a most pleasant stay. I will be back!

If you are looking for a boutique hotel with fluffy towels in the outer Hebrides - the Lochmaddy is probably not for you. However, if you are looking for a warm welcome, comfortable rooms, great food, fabulous and helpful staff, a chance to meet the locals in a really convenient location this ticks all the boxes. We stayed half board... More

After reading some of the recent reviews on this hotel I find it hard to believe we were staying in the same place. We went as a fishing party. It was many years since I last stayed and time has not been kind .Whereas in days gone one could expect the hotel to be fishing dominated now it is not and the elements that seem to refer back to its days of glory seem out of place. The carpets are worn, the décor either dated or very cheaply updated... More

A very disappointing stay. Hotel needs attention. Simple things like picking up the fag nubs from out the front; removing the dead flowers in the vase from the lounge which were there for the 2 days of my stay; removing the cider can from outside the front door; wallpaper in room 24 ripped by the radiator. Definitely overpriced. And expect... More

The hotel is very tired . Are room a family room was way passed it's best as well as grubby. You had to hunt for staff to check in and when found was hard to get then to stop talking to each other and assist you. Food also poor.

Booked into this hotel recently for two nights as part of touring holiday f outer hebrides. First impression was that the place looked "tired". No- one was on reception. Staff member appeared, gave us our room key and pointed the way to the room. Room was clean enough if somewhat dated. We ate in hotel that night - food was... More
