The location alone is memorable. The house stands alone with uninterupted views. We had the downstairs room and slept with the curtains open, the sunrise was mesmorising. The en-suite room was well equipped, very clean and spacious. The room has TV, radio and tea making facilities. The underfloor heating kept the room cosy and the bed was clean and comfy.... more

Stayed for just one night but had a fantastic time! House is airy with brilliant views. Host is great fun and can't do enough for you. Breakfast fab - you can have whatever you like and nothing is too much trouble. Peaceful location. Nice to have pets around too! Would definely recommend. more

Situated on the island of Baleshare to the west of North Uist, this is a spacious B&B with two rooms. I was in the smaller room upstairs, but the larger suite downstairs is effectively an annex to the main house with uninterrupted views out onto the machair, marshes and Atlantic Ocean. Baleshare is a flat island with no trees, so... more

We toured Harris and North Uist, our last two nights with Jac. What a truly lovely place, we stayed in the down stairs rooms, lovely and light, very clean and relaxing. Breakfast was fab, good selection of fresh fruit etc. This was the nicest place we stayed at over our 8 days away. We are returning next year but will... more

We only stayed one night as a break from travelling by campervan but from finding Bagh Alluin on the web I was looking forward to it and we weren't disappointed. I can only endorse what has been written by others. We stayed upstairs with similarly spectacular views and huge bath. With Jac's huge knowledge and loan of local maps we... more

The small Bagh Alluin is a perfect B&B! It is situated on the small and flat island of Baleshare which is connected to North Uist. The setting is wonderful, and if you are searching for a peaceful and relaxing place, this might be the right one for you. Our room had magnificent views towards the fields and ocean. The room... more

Wonderful and friendly B&B. Contemporary style and probably the best B&B on Uist ? Away from it all but so civilised. more

Well off the normal tourist track over a narrow bridge to the Isle of Baleshare you find this peaceful location and are surrounded by a wide variety of birds and views across this low lying island. This said it was only a short drive to explore all of Uist and Benbecula. Host Jac is extremely charming and helpful, the bedroom... more

We stayed in this unique and special B&B as part of our exploration of the Western Isles. Jac has created a wonderful haven of peace and beauty. The room, with its windows on 3 sides, brings you close to the natural beauty and wildlife of Baleshare. Jac has decorated the room with his art, which reflects and interprets the surrounding... more

My 15 year old son and I were on our annula highlands and islands trip. We normally stay in small hotels but could not secure a booking so thought we would try a B&B for a change. This one outshone any of the hotels on our tour of the Hebrides. Jac and his children were welcoming, helpful and friendly, without... more
