This hotel looks much better in photos than the flesh. It’s an aged, shabby dung heap of a hotel. The staff are committed but clueless. The owner is obviously letting the place go. When we stayed in August (peak season) there must have only been only 3 rooms occupied in what seemed a large hotel - in fact we never... More

On our highland tour we stayed at this hotel for two nights, the main building looked rather run down with planters near the front entrance that was full of broken glass bits, I think this was for decoration but looked really bad. Our room was at the back of the hotel and the view was a football pitch, we had... More

We visited this hotel during a cycling holiday in the Hebrides. We were given a great family room for a good price. The staff were pleasant but as none of them were local they had no local knowledge and were unable to answer virtually all of our questions about the local area. And when it came to dinner, oh dear.... More

We were looking forward to a meal at this hotel but our inital impressions were not good. The tables were sticky and the bar staff could hardly understand English. My husband ordered a bottle of beer which when poured was flat and cloudy and tasted off. The bar staff refused to change it for a different bottle of beer as... More

Stayed 2 nights as part of Coach Trip. First impression not brilliant, outside needs some attention and updating. Reception very old fashioned and dated. Checked in and had an attic room, very compact, side window in need of cleaning, bathroom tiny but clean. Furniture very cheap quality with plastic doors. Inclusive dinner was a 3 item choice for 3 courses.... More

This hotel is isolated and this maybe creates problems with supplies and staffing. The building is in need of refurbishment and the decor is very 'tired'. The layout of the building is strange, like a 1950s motel? Some items on the menu were very good, but there was a lack of fresh vegetables or fruit. These comments will perhaps not... More

A hotel which needs to be renovated urgently. The room was smelling displeasly and in the bathroom it was extremly mouldy. Cleaning has happened obviously just as much as necessary and everywhere in the hotel, as well in the pub and the breakfast room it was dusty and partly uncleaned. The staff gave the impression of not being very motivated,... More

I stayed here for 2 nights. This hotel is in a fairly remote location, which I liked. The hotel backs on to a great sandy beach which is about a 5 minute walk away, where you can see seals, basking on a sand bar just off the shore. There are also lots of species of birds. I even heard Corncrakes... More

Although we didn't stay at the hotel (based on other Trip Adviser reports for the place) we did eat there one night and the experience was poor. The menu was not extensive and serving for evening meals stopped relatively early. I ordered steak and chips medium rare. What turned up was a steak cooked well done on one side and... More

Stayed one night here as we could not find any other accomadation. Room very, very small and absolutely no view. Shower room smelly and damp. Restaurant meal pretty poor, but to be fair an OK breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Very expensive for a nights stay. Really in need of modernisation and upgrade.
