We took the direct bus from Bogota with el rapido carmen (7.10am). The governmental site listed it as a $18.000, 4 hour trip. But the most crazy thing happened when we arrived, at once these prices were the "old" prices.... Also this bus takes least 5-6 hours. Other option is to go to Tunja and change to a bus to... More

The photos on trip advisor are very old. The garden is now brick the eating area is nothing like the photos. The kitchen had 2 knives (butter knife and a bread knife), had not many cooking materials/bowls/pots/pans, and has no space to cook. The other reviews talk about a woman running the place but during my stay there was a... More

I highly recommend this hostel to everyone on budget who visit Villa de Leyva. The staff was really helpful and honest. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bathrooms had hot water. It's great because you can choose between private rooms and dorms, depending on your budget. I stayed in a room for two with private bathroom and it... More

We stayed here just for one night but the overall experience was pretty good. It's clean and spacious. The showers are brand new and have hot water. You can use the kitchen and the internet is quite fast.

I stayed here on my 2nd night in V.De Leyva after I could only get a more expensive hotel the night before on booking.com. No hostels we're included but this should have been as it was great. Very friendly lady and really clean spacious rooms

We booked a double with shared bathroom on hostelbookers a few days before arriving in Villa de Leyva. Firstly, when we got to the hostel, they had no idea we had a reservation and apparently do not get their bookings from hostelbookers or dont know how to use it. We showed them the confirmation and were put in a double... More

I just stayed one night since my previous hostel was booked. This place a fine place to spend the night. The beds are very comfortable and the courtyard is beautiful. The location is fantastic. They have three bathrooms but the two in the back do not have hot water. Another guest told me but the two young women running the... More

Despite the WiFi not working when I was there, my overall experience of the hostel was positive due to the excellent service/kindness of the owner and the cleanliness of the hostel more than made up for it. Also the hostel is close to a cheap and tasty vegetarian restaurant, also its within 2.5 blocks of the main plaza.

Well, I do agree a lot with some other comments regarding the owner of the hostel, which definitely makes you feel unwelcomed and that you'd be better off in your room, or even better yet: out. The room was very tiny and did not fit the description we had of it. I, for sure, will never go back and would... More

When booking the room over the phone we were promised a very spacious room that would easily sleep 6 people (3 couples) and we would have our own private bathroom. Upon arrival, we saw one double bed and bunk beds with twin size mattresses. Imagine sleeping two people in a twin on the top bunk, and they're not even pushed... More
