The facilities were comfortable and the breakfast was quite good. The atmosphere is a perfect extension of Villa de Leyva. Unfortunately, having to interact with Sra Barba put a damper on my stay. I felt my presence was an overall inconvenience to her, and she was downright rude at times. First of all, when we arrived in Villa de Leyva,... More

Overall it was a good place close to town. We booked a day trip and massage there, And both were very good and I would recomendable it. However there were a few downsides. The room could do with new bedding, and when we arrived one of the waters in the fridge had been opened and it wasn't sealed. We asked... More

I stayed for one night during a puente, so I was happy to find availability with little notice for a price under 100 USD. The room and bathroom were small but well maintained and I thought they were properly represented in the photos. The location was fine, about a 10-15 minute walk to the main square. Also the grounds and... More

Too expensive and it's not out of this world, poor service and photoshoped pictures in their website. Poor menus for the romantic evening plan, the road the hotel is on has been under construction for ages and it's all muddy if it rains but off course none of that is shown online, rooms with jacuzzi are expensive to book and... The hotel is nice enough, but the service is very poor, maybe not for foreing turist, but for nationals, it´s really bad. During out stay, when we arrived they would not take us to our room until we paid in advance for the second night, Libia the hostess said in front of us to her husband "but they haven't pay, they... I stayed here for 2 nights, part of a 3 week trip to Colombia. I booked this place knowing it was more expensive, but looking at the website and the hotel`s description, I did it as a treat. Overall, I was disappointed. The place was ok, but definitely not worth the 150,000 pesos a night (plus tax!) during the week.... More

We stayed in Villa de Leyva for 3 days on a side trip from Bogota. Hotel Bahia Olivo was the perfect home base for our explorations and relaxation. It's a down to earth hotel with spa amenities - simply and beautifully decorated with traditional Colonial decor, a beautiful courtyard and nice gardens, including a covered patio dining area. The beds... More

My significant other and I recently spent 4 days at this most special hotel. First, it is unique in providing a warm environment, that blends in so well with the atmosphere of Villa De Leyva. One truly feels one is being greeted in someone's property in Villa de Leyva. While having amenities, it is without the typical commercialism of certain boutique... More

Our Spanish and Lavia and Jairo, the owners, English was not good, but this was never a problem. We stayed here 4 nites, charming room, lovely breakfast. Lavia fixed us up with a local tour guide Jose who was excellent and very reasonable rates.

We've stayed in a variety of hotels in and around Villa de Leyva - this one is good value for money. What makes it special is the very attentive owners, who live on site and really make sure you are looked after. We had asked for room 208 which has a fireplace as we are well into a cold rainy...
