Really loved this building and the space - so much common space with hammocks and outdoor and indoor seating so you could soak up the sun or sit in the shade and enjoy the breeze, also a good TV room (for watching the World Cup, of course!) The dorm I stayed in was also nice and spacious with big windows... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights. The first night I was in the six bed dorm. I would not recommend it, as the beds are not comfortable and loads of mosquitoes get in the room. The second night I decided to camp as this would control the bug situation. The ground is very nice, it is a little bit... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on the way to San Gil. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm as it was more afforable. The staff are lovely, the dorm was spacious, it was clean and a fantastic location. It is surrounded by forest and we fell asleep to the sound of a running creek. The beds were pretty comfy... More

The is such a cool hostel. It is outside villa de Leyva, in the middle of great nature. I love these kind of hostel with a lot of garden around it. The staff is very friendly, the prices are good as well. The only negative thing about this hotel is that you need to walk about 20 to 25 minutes... More

We loved this hostel and the staff were fantastic. The rooms are clean and the place feels very safe. We stayed in a private room. We did have a problem with hot water but the staff sorted it out quickly. The breakfast was excellent and we also had a meal one night which was great and really good value. We... More

This place is wonderful! I arrived at night so I had no idea what to expect, and I woke up to a gorgeous view in the morning. The rooms are lovely and clean and the staff are so helpful and friendly and patient, even with my terrible grasp of Spanish. Don't be put off by the distance from town, it's... More

Easy walking distance from town (fifteen to twenty minutes), Renacer sits on a hill. It is quite up and down, so be prepared. If you are just in average physical condition, you should have no problem. The rooms have just what you need. Don't expect amenities. You're traveling in hostels in South America. Water is always hot and has plenty... More

The Renacer Hostal (aka Colombian Highlands) is a great spot. We camped for three nights. There are tent pads closer to the common area, as well as some nestle higher up a hill if you care to sacrifice some convenience for seclusion. The kitchen area is just fine, and the restaurant does offer some decent food if you don't care... More

We stayed at Renacer Hostel for 3 nights. We camped on the tent pads that are scattered throughout the beautiful, lush grounds. The communal kitchen is one of the cleanest hostel kitchens that we have encountered on any of our travels. The restaurant is a bit pricey but the food is really good. The bathrooms were very clean, even the... More
