Where do I start, only place left last year for the Scoil Acla, that really should have raised the warning flags, seems to me this place only opens for a few weeks in the summer, run by a middle aged 'grumpy' couple it smelled of damp and fungus no matter how many times we washed our cloths we still couldn't... We stayed here for a night during August for a charity event in the nearby hotel which was a few mins walk up the road and a few mins down the road is the Annexe bar so a handy location! Our room was lovely and clean and the breakfast was worth the money alone so if your planning a stay... More

We checked in to Achill Isle House for two night and stayed three. Nice family home. Our host had a world of knowledge about the island. On her recommendation we drove, hiked, walked around the whole of this wonderful place. Rooms were clean. Our breakfast was a delight each morning and nothing was too much for Shelia.

We spend two nights at Achill Isle House and enjoyed the very friendly hospitality of this B & B. The rooms are rather small but have beautiful views on the Keel beech. If you want to know anything about walks on Achill you are in the house of an experienced tour guide. We really love Achill Island for the nature... More

Lovely place. Cheapest B&B we could find in Achill. Within walking distance of the Annex pub. Room was fine and the fantastic breakfast and great service made the stay great value. Will be heading back if I'm ever back on Achill again!

While visiting the small village of Keel we checked out a couple other B and B's which were very nice looking but a little over our budget. We were assured we could'nt get anything for less so were quite pleased to find this one for the price we wanted. Sheila was very helpful while trying to keep the sheep out... More

Rooms are clean, great breakfast, great views, hosts are very hospitable and there is a guest sitting room if the weather doesn't permit outdoor activities, unless of course you enjoy water sports which are within easy walking distance. Bars shop and restaurants also within easy walking distance. I would certainly stay again.

I have just returned from my first visit to Achill. I received the warmest of welcomes from Sheila, and her lovely B&B had a warm homely feel to it. The fact that Sheila's husband Gerard is a local guide and Archaeologist was an added bonus as i went on a 2 day amazing hike around the most stunning coastline in... More
