I have been an ex-pat living in Asia for 14 years. I must say this was by far the most breath taking amazing view of a lifetime. It's the kind of view that makes you never want to leave. Our family stayed for 3 nights. The concrete villas were cozy, clean and had a cool open air shower. The villas... More

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Great view, the rooms are spacious, liked the atmosphere but could be cleaned better (that's for the ceiling and the mosquitonet outside) A good breakfast, good choice, lot's of fresh fruits. We went to the beach several times, not to swim, not possible. Beach area, sand was well taken care of by... More

We stayed four four nights in a standard bungalow. The entire village was really nice and the views from the restaurant and main pool were really stunning. We really liked the secluded atmosphere in the resort, most days the beach was almost completely empty. Perfect for relaxing! Breakfast was really good! A great selection a breads, cereals and Thai dishes.... More

Great staff/ service, great building structure, lovely food, calm environment, however the sea is not nice - muddy looking n also plastic on beach :( also there are no real drinks- everything is horrible juice & syrups! At least they have beer coke etc! Pool side beautiful. & you can see the rock structures far away which is lovely so... More

First, we had to wait almost 3 hours before our rooms could be ready! There are huge terraces with comfortable daybed but two long chairs in wood with NO mattress on it (Who can relax on wood??) - Nice bed and outdoor shower - Pool is very dangerous. We had a 18 month old baby so had to be very... More

Hotel provides spacious individual bungalows, including an outdoor shower (nice!) and a large terrace. The surroundings are very nice, with a large (wide) beach and a sizable pool (big enough to swim laps easily). Food was good and food service very helpful. Some drawback were location (not really anything around there walking distance but can rent a scooter) and language... More

Overall a great retreat and the "huts" are fun to stay in, outside shower is fun, we didn't have the best of weather and suffered a little on the service as it was busy, but good is good, view from restaurant and pool is amazing, we took bike out and that was good fun. Choppy seas made the boat ride... More

Very nice resort on a very quiet island (not much other hotels around) but very accessible from Krabi and Pukhet. The bungalows are very comfortable (we liked the open sky shower) and the swimming pool is great with a beautiful view. The beach however is not so nice (compared to other places in Thailand) and the tours are a little... More

Koh Yao Yai Village is a very nice resort in a very quiet island where you will be far from the crowds. Going there from Phuket takes about 30 minutes by boat so it's quite close but the island is one of the few islands in the area that still have a local population (fishermen mostly, Muslims so you won't... This place is a dream and inspired me to write my first review ever. Before arriving in Koh Yao Yai Village I had stayed in several nice, but not really inspiring resorts in Thailand while travelling with my father. However, my "resort fatigue" quickly vanished when I set foot on the Koh Yao Yai Village grounds. A golf car brought... More
