I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 nights. The place was very clean, the beds comfortable, and the garden was pretty. Breakfast was nothing special, just some bread and jams. It's not a luxury accomodation, but considering the remoteness of the town, I think it's great.

We stayed at Pondok SVD for one night as we passed through Riung. The staff were lovely, polite and very helpful. The room itself was basic but clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable and most welcome after a day of driving across hot and dusty terrain. The shower produced warm water and the toilet facilities were fine. All... More

Not being the best known tourist attraction in Flores, Riung offers little choice of decent accommodation, and Pondok SVD is definitely the best of them. Moreover, it was without a doubt the best hotel during our trip across Flores. The rooms were big and well equipped, but most importantly the hotel was CLEAN and really well looked-after, with flowers growing... More

Anyone who has travelled the Island Flores knows that you don't need high expectations concerning the accommodations... That said, we truly enjoyed this place and we actually slept like babies :) The rooms are basic but clean and during our 2 night stay, i think we encountered practically no mosquito's... All the windows have special mosquito nets and there is... More

My wife and I stayed one night here on our Flores road trip and I loved it. Lovely big rooms with bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. Aircon provided in the bedroom and sitting room which was a surprise. Outside, there is a lovely garden and sitting area. As elsewhere on Flores, the staff were all friendly and helpful. I would... We arrived into Ruing from Moni in the early evening only to find the electricity had failed. When we arrived at the place we were going to stay we realised that they did not have power and therefore no fans. At this time the humidity was very high so we booked in at Pondok SVD Riung (website: www.pondoksvdriung.com, email:pondoksvd@gmail.com, mobile... More

It's a bit of a journey to get to Riung (it took us 3 and 1/2 hours on probably the worse road I've ever travelled on from Bajawa!) but as if often the case, the more difficult the journey, the more rewarding the destination, and that was certainly the case with Riung. Riung is a tiny village (little more than... More

We spent 2 nights in this hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone. Rooms are very old and dirty. The place is unsafe. We've been told that people from Riung use to come at night to steal in the rooms while tourists are sleeping. We ended up not sleeping at all. There were red worms on the floor.... More

We stayed at Pondok SVD for 2 nights. The room was simple but very clean. All rooms overlook the garden and this is a very convenient place to meet other travellers and find a guide for a boat trip. Riung has wonderful snorkeling spots and you can rent your equipment at the hotel. Hotel staff is very friendly. Basic food... More

compared to other places to stay in Flores, it's a pleasure to stay in such a spotless place, with very kind and helpful people in charge of the hotel, Also a very quiet garden in front of the rooms. The rooms are simple but very clean. You can ask for a bigger superior room.
