Stayed here while doing the Camino. Accommodation is very very basic (only a small step up from being a hostel) and rooms are small but it is clean. No hot water in the morning for a shower was a major negative. Had breakfast in the adjoining cafe which was fine.

Stayed here as part of a large group of walkers. Situated near the centre of nice villlage. Check-in, meals etc. at cafe; rooms across the road (50 m). If you want clean, comfortable, budget accomodation - it does it well. Nice, clean rooms. Some en-suite, some sharing bathroom so ask for en-suite if that's what you want. Found no problems... More

Prologue: We made the St. James way during the first week of April. We booked through an agency all the hostels at the different stretches (with half board). Our comments refer to the expectations we had in relation to what we paid the agency. The number of stars are instead related to the price/quality ratio if you just want to... More

Small room with double bed, firm mattress and plain furniture in separate building. Very nice staff. It is clean with view of street and chickens in yard across the street. As advertised there is no air conditioning but don't open windows. There is a serious fly problem in this area due to nearby farms. It is still a nice place... More

I started with the bus close to Santiago Airport this morning, took the bus via Lugo to Sarría. This was the reason why I started much later than usually on the Camino - and why I arrived really late at around 7:00 pm in Portomarín ... at the entry of the town, after the stairs leading into town I met... The pension was very clean and the rooms had exactly what you needed. The location was not as close to the Camino as expected and after the climb into town we found the extra walk around to find the unmarked check-in (FYI: go to the restaurant in the building next door) didn't add much to our overall mood. Biggest complaint... More

This is one star, do not expect more. Very clean, room and thd 2 beds were tiny, bathroom and shower ok. A few steps from Portomarin central beautiful plaza and cathedral. The lady who welcomed us was nice and willing to help. We did not try the restaurant. So, average and clean.

The hotel is a few minutes walk from the main square. It is a bit difficult to find as it is not properly sign posted, however if you ask any of the locals they will easily point you in the right direction. You need to go the restaurant across the road to check in and to obtain your key. The ladies... More

We stayed at the Portomino one night while walking the Camino. It's more like a guesthouse. Our room, with private bath, was pretty basic and was cold, despite the heater churning out what heat it could. It was clean, quiet and all right for one night while on the Camino. (It's a few blocks walk from the Camino route.) To... More
