Literally walked her from France as have been backpacking on Camino de Santiago. Rewarded myself with a stay in Parador and was fortunate to be given a room that looked directly onto square with great views of cathedral and tower opposite. Looked even better when floodlit at night. Lovely room and welcome bath after 25km walk! Restaurant was excellent and... More

I visited this hotel while I was recovering from a foot injury doing the Camino to Santiago and found it to be a true paradise. They offered me a special rate for pilgrims, the staff was very nice, food was delicious and the building breathtaking. Ironically this hotel used to be a hospital for the pilgrims while they travelled to... More

Dinner at the Parador was excellent. A good range of food for breakfast. Our room overlooked the square with the Clock tower. Whilst it had a lovely view, I was kept awake all night as the clock chimed every 15 minutes. I had been warned by my husband who had worked and lived in Spain that dinner is generally served... The lounge area is simply stunning its so grand. Sitting outside at the front enjoying a drink in the square on a summers evening is a lovely way to pass away an hour or so watching the world go by. Could'nt be better located for visiting the tower and cathedral.

From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable, the young man at the desk was courteous and helpful, the room was impeccable, the bathroom large, and having parking was a plus as the old part of the city is closed to traffic. We have stayed at more luxurious and larger paradors but this was very pleasant. Getting there was a... More

This parador is located in the centre of the old town, adjecebt to the cathedral. We had two connecting rooms on the first floor overlooking the square. Very friendly staff and nice food. We had diner here and enjoyed the local Rijoa wine.

We arrived at the Parador tired, sweaty and dusty Camino pilgrims. Our reception could not have been better. We were treated very well by the staff who also spoke excellent English, an added bonus. The building is amazing, a former 12th-century pilgrim hospital and located right near the cathedral. We found the entrance lobby with its stone arches stunning and... More

I stayed here for one night during my Camino. I mean.....you have to try one don't you ? It was really great. A beautiful building. The room was sensational. Like staying in a Museum. And right in the heart of the to next to the Church.

We have now experienced 5 Paradores and this one is better than most. We arrived at 10 and were immediately given a room overlooking the Cathedral and Camino. Have not heard the bells that others have complained about, could that have possibly been a Sunday. Have wifi in room, no problems. Had the set lunch and that was the best... More

The hotel is a lovely old converted building with plenty of public space. Right opposite the cathedral you do get the bells all 24 hrs but room 121 was at the back and we didn't hear them - those overlooking the square complained of being frequently woken in the night. Rooms are a good size with twin large beds. Problem... More
