Hotel is clean and comfortable after a day walking the Camino. However both dinner and breakfast, that were included, were served elsewhere. Dinner was at a dive across the street , couldn't wait to get out of there. Breakfast was in the cafe downstairs which was fine. But the strange thing was that no one was in the hotel when... More

When I saw the outside, I was worried, but unnecessarily. The host is very friendly and carried my luggage to the room, explained that hot water would come in a couple of minutes, bent over backwards to be helpful. The room was nice with a balcony overlooking the plaza. I had the pilgrim's meal with paella and salmon, which was... More

The hotel is very simple and modern, and only a few metres detour from the Camino. It is located between a small Plaza (very popular with families on a Saturday well into the late evening) with a church bell that tolls every quarter-hour on one side and a rowdy bar on a small square on the other. Our room was... More

The Hotel Monaco looks a bit shabby from the outside but the rooms have been very well renovated, are modern, comfortable and very pleasant with balconies opening on to nice views over the countryside. The staff were most welcoming and helpful and the bar underneath a terrific and convivial place to stop, have a drink and some tapas. Very good.

The hotel is just average for a couple of reasons. The first is that it doesn't stand out, has no AC and the restaurant owner decided to close for a few weeks due to the low volume of guests. But it was very clean and the reception clerk apologized numerous times for having us use the bar downstairs for breakfast.... More

From the outside it looks basic 1970's but inside has been updated and our room was very good. Large queen almost king bed. No AC but the ceiling fan did the job. Large wrap around balcony, worked great for our wine and nibbles. The shower had great pressure and heaps of water. The hotel is on the main road but... More

Started so well - very friendly welcome. My bag was already in my room and there was plenty of hot water. Sadly they were not able to do laundry - fair enough; but when I went later to check on dinner, having seen a number of people having lunch, I was told that 'no dinner tonight'. That would have been... More

If you have read my other reviews you will know what I value and this hotel is to be valued. Clean, friendly, helpful and value for money. 50 Mtrs off the Camino you could miss it but don't. They had the best pilgrims menu in terms of quality since I left Saint Jean de pied. I doubt if I will... More

A terrific overnight stop if walking Camino de Santiago. Doesnt look so much from the outside, but inside, great rooms, excellent brekkie and the best service on the whole Camino. Absolutely positive, friendly and helpful eg putting bags in room before arrival.

We spent one night here during our Camino, a good, comfortable hotel with a very attentive owner. He kindly offered to give us breakfast at 6.30 the next morning as we were walking 27 kms to Logrono and the weather was unusually hot 33 degrees, so we could get an early start. Very centrally located hotel, close to the Camino.... More
