Quirky hotel with all the rooms named after French authors Proprietor friendly and helpful We ate at the hotel and found the waitress a little unfriendly and surly to start with ( may have been because she was pregnant ) She mellowed at the end of the meal The food was nicely presented and very tasty We had a good... First and foremost, I stayed at this hotel in July 2012. Unfortunately, TripAdvisor doesnt allow that option under the 'month visited' drop down box and admittedly I have taken a while to register with TripAdvisor. The hotel is situated in a quaint beautiful village and its decoration is well in keeping with the general theme of this village. The rooms... More

Mille et une feuilles is a little restaurant attached to the hotel. We dined there on a Thursday evening in September. There is a terrace at the front of the restaurant which is nice. The service was quick and professional. We ate the mussels in pasta and it was really very good. The dessert with supplement was worth it, a... More

Stayed over night in November. A cheerful welcome on arrival and the friendliness continued during our stay. very much the family feel to it.Stayed in room 1 which was not large but adequate, excellent decoration and spotlessly clean. The dinner was superb. Very original and talented cooking. The breakfast was simple but adequate. The stay cost Euro 151 for the... More

We stopped at Charité-sur-Loire on the way from Cluny to Auxerre, taking the chance to visit its famous Abbey (listed in the UNESCO World Heritage); the Mille et Une Feuilles has revealed itself perfect for said stop. It’s a small hotel, located at the north of the City historical centre; several parking places are available free-of-charge just in front of... More

Very good hotel for an overnight stop on your journey. Don't bother with the restaurant, very disappointing. Don't know why reviews need to be a minimum of two hundred characters as I have said all I wanted to say.

stayed here and and it was clean and comfortable for one night. there is no parking at the back of the hotel, so we had to leave the car on the street. the room was fine, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. was at the top of the town so we had to walk down the street to the centre for... More

It takes smart people who can make a very simple hotel look interesting. In the rooms, glue book pages to the bed's head, stools, table etc. Varnish them. Write writer's sayings on your walls, according to the towns' committment to literature. Make some nice pictures of the refurbished rooms, publish them on booking, and customers are due to arrive? So,... More

Not many options in this pretty small French village. This small hotel is beautiful in an old fashioned way. High ceilings and lots of wood. Reasonable price. But skip the breakfast. Coffee and bread and jam with cottage cheese. Not worth the 10e. Try the restaurant across the street-amazing dinner.!

Not part of a chain, this is an authentic French hotel. Nothing very luxurious but it has character and very friendly staff. Easy parking outside in a quiet part of town and a 10 minute walk down through very pretty and characterful streets to the Loire river. Excellent stopover on your way through France. Dinner was good and a room... More
