We were first time visitors to St. Barth. The hotel manager Eula is a very hard working and caring person who made us feel very welcome. She really made a difference and was extremely helpful with the trip coordination including air, ferry from St. Marteen and car rental, restaurante recomendations, etc. Afterwards a sweet continental breakfast back at the hotel... We just returned from one week in St. Barths staying at The Normandie Hotel. What a gem. The hotel is perfect if you are looking for friendly, exceptionally helpful staff, lovely and clean, ideal location as well as very reasonable rates. The rooms had brand new mattresses and it was very comfortable to sleep in, as well as great AC.... More

Excellent hotel for a permanence in St Barths's island. The rooms are impeccable and beautiful, the service is perfect and the staff is very nice and professional. After we know them, it is as if we were among friends. I highly recommend it !

I have been to st barth 10 times and stayed there throughout the years at all kinds of luxury hotels, private villas and other less expensive places. I came to realization that st barth is all about exploring the beaches, fine or fun french dining and shopping. You do not stay at the hotel that much, but you want to... More

Lovely little property, small pool. Rooms are VERY utilitarian, have the basics but absolutely nothing more. But for the price, it's everything you need. Continental breakfast and evening glass of wine are nice amenities as well as the warm, friendly, helpful staff. It's a great place to stay to enjoy the beauty of St Barth without blowing your budget on... More

Pro's: low room rates for St Bart's, very helpful staff, central location, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, refreshing pool, close to supermarket, complimentary beach towels Cons: lots of noise from other rooms and there were some bugs in the room This is a nice place to stay if you plan on being out and about for most of your trip. It's... More

Thank you for staying at The Normandie and for your comments . . . most especially, of course, for the “Pro’s!” Regarding “Cons” . . . (a) Every room is sprayed after each daily cleaning for insects of all types. Windows also are screened. Unfortunately, however, the Caribbean climate is hospitable to bugs. We do our best to eliminate them,... More

Just back from a 5 night get-away to St Barth's and loved the Hotel Normandie! My wife and I travelled to StB for our second get-away and landed at the Normandie…loved it. Very nice small, quaint Inn in Lorient. Very convenient to everywhere on the island. Great room. Nice bedding. AC worked great. Ambience was above expectations and we had... More

Finding value for your money on St. Barths is like shopping for inexpensive shoes at Barney's, so we were excited about the prices for Normandie and the convenient location. There were so many great reviews we felt it was a no brainer...unfortunately, my beau and I were pretty disappointed by it. Granted it had its own charm, but one major... More

Thank you for your time in preparing a review. We, of course, are sorry that your beau got Dengue Fever while on the island & hope that he has recovered without any lasting effects. Your conclusion that he contracted it "as a result" of being at the Normandie, however, overlooks the possibility of contracting it at the beach, a restaurant,... More

After much research on accommodation options for a three day visit to St. Barth I settled upon le Normandie. My expectations were greatly exceeded. This is a lovely little hotel, well situated in the Lorient area, clean and well appointed, very informal, with amazing, warm, wonderful staff. It says a lot when the hotel manager offers to drive you to... More
