It is worth suffering through the excruciatingly slow and inept service to enjoy the food in this restaurant. We had the lobster and asparagus cappuccino which was amazing as was the lightly smoked tuna with a asparagus. Had to ask for salt and pepper twice. Service attention was horrible. Two hours for lunch is unacceptable.

We recently stayed two nights at Le Collet, and I think it's one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Unfortunately I was ill for 24 hours during my stay so I missed out on eating an evening meal there but I did have lunch and it was very, very good. My wife and friends reported back that the... Dear Olivier, It was a real pleasure staying at the Collet. Your hospitality is remarkable and the food absolutely delicious - once again! First time that we stayed with you, but will be back. The décor of the restaurant is even nicer than the rooms. Keep up the good work! Christiana & Blake

We arrived on foot through a heavy thunderstorm and found the welcome friendly and efficient. Our room was small but adequate, in ski chalet style. It had good drying facilities for two very wet walkers. There was a modern bathroom with the shower in the bath, with no screen. The bar/dining area was attractive and a good place for a... More

We only had lunch there in the very pleasant restaurant so we never stayed there. It is however a very good eating option when driving the "Route the Cretes". There are many menues to choose from but we had a small "mountain menue" consisting of Boudin Noir followed by a dessert. This was very nice. You dont get Boudin Noir... More

Expensive but quiet. Rooms in need of update - poor ventilation and old beds and bedding. Bathroom very poor indeed, basin badly cracked and small bath, shower not available. Restaurant has Michelin rating. We were on half pension and the menu had no choice at all. We had to sit on a table closely adjoining another couple, giving no privacy... More

We chose this hotel for several reasons: friends stayed there and recommended it; positive reviews, and its situation in the Vosges but away from the towns. We were not disappointed. I phoned to make a reservation and was dealt with swiftly and courteously. Arriving at the hotel we found all the staff to be friendly and obliging. Our room was... More

The hotel is in a lovely spot on top of a Col in the middle of woods. However it is on the junction of three roads, so you get a constant stream of cars, trucks and motorbikes in low gears reaching the top. Consequently it is rather noisy. Our room was rather quaint and had charm, with good qualty pillows... More

Biking with my husband through the Vosges in France and happened across this wonderful hotel. Never expected to find a place with such great food, service, and ambiance out in the middle of the mountains. The whole place has recently been refurbished and the love and care the owners put into the place is evident everywhere. Our room was bright... More

After reading some positive reviews, we looked forward to our stay so we booked and stopped there for one night with evening meal. The decor inside the hotel is of a peculiar style with weird and obsolete farm objects on the walls and also scattered everywhere. The dining room decor is alright. However upstairs, the doors of the bedrooms looked... More
