I am half Italian and having seen a Sunday Times travel article earlier this year on Alberghi Diffusi I duly arranged a holiday to Scicli, Sicily from the 17th to 24th July 2014. My partner and I duly arrived at the Millenium Bar at Via Francesco Mormina Penna. We were met by Vincenzo and shown to our beautiful apartment at... More

The concept of a hotel with apartments scattered through a city is a new one to me, but it works well. Our room was actually in the Baroque kitsch style, but huge with marble floors and a spacious hall and bathroom. Most others are chic modern. Because the apartments are 'diffused' there is sometimes a hiatus when arriving or departing,... More

Booked in to stay at the Casa Pascucci, one of the places owned by Albergo Diffuso. Great service from Ezio when booking, with advice on where to stay so we thought we had a great few days lined up. When we arrived we were greeted by Vincenzo who was pleasant, and showed us the house. Small, hot and noisy from... More

Great room in a lovely non-touristy town. Centrally located check in is pedestrianised so difficult to use satnav. Ezio drove us to the lovely apartment & we had an excellent 2 night stay. Check out an excellent fish restaurant called Baqqala.

We stayed 4 nights at the Casa La Nova house and had a great time. Ezio from the Albergo Diffuso was hugely friendly and helpful even walking to meet us to direct us to the house when we arrived in Scicli. The house was very comfortable and well equipped although we dd not self cater as the restaraunts in Scicli... More

Vincenzo and Ezio were always friendly and happy to help us with our questions and any small problems that we had. Vincenzo greeted us when we arrived and explained in detail all that we needed to know about the town and area. The complementary bowl of fruit and glass of prosecco was a generous touch. The apartment was most comfortable and... More

It was fantastic time in Scicli, so cosy city with wonderfull architecture, people around, good tratorias. The house is absolutely charming, intimate, located in perfect place: it is only 5 min walk to center and still very calm and peacefull place with birds singing in the morning. You can park car for free just few steps from the house. The... More

Stayed in one of the 'diffuse alberghi' at the end of March and really enjoyed it. The office (in a cubby hole at the back of the Millennium bar on the piazza oppose the consiglio - aka Inspector Montalbano's HQ!) was difficult to find but once we did, all went very well. Edzio (spelling?) in the office was very friendly... More

The room was in an old building in the centre of Scicli- it has a vaulted ceiling which is interesting and its own door on to a side street. Good shower and bathroom. The bar where we had breakfast is right outside the town hall ( Moltabano's police station). Excellent breakfast and the restaurant in the evening was brilliant.Nice people... More

Hotel made up of several "palazzi", apartment buildings, throughout the southern Sicilian town of Scicli. The town is known for its barocco architecture and for being an important location in the TV series about inspector Montalbano, based on the books by Andrea Camilleri. We stayed two nights in Casa Milizie with another couple - preordering two standard double rooms, but... More
