I had a wonderful time in this beautiful bed and breakfast. The owner always helped us to find nice places to visit, to eat, helped to find a bus and gave us ride. The bedrooms were lovely and it was nice to sit next to the fireplace. I can higly recommend Maison Lacoste.

Everything we needed for a wonderful few days in the mountains. Especially enjoyed sitting by the log fire at night after enjoying a hearty meal in the farmhouse. Easy drive to Bagnere for the saturday market or to try some of the cosy restaurants in the town, up to La Mongie to ski or Payolle for snowshoeing/cross country skiing. Very... More

Don't hesitate to stay at this charming chambre de'hote. Chris has done an amazing job to create a beautiful authentic French country house. Interior is beautifully appointed and the rooms have everything you need and more. Good breakfast and charming host make for a wonderful stay. Views are terrific and the Campan valley has so much to offer.

Elspeth and I had a wonderful 5 day stay in Chris' B&B. It was everything we needed. Comfortable accommodation, a friendly host, a good location with access to nearby towns, villages, mountain passes and walks in the mountains & valleys. Two hours in the Spa baths chilling out set the scene for stunning drives.

This beautiful B&B at the foot of the Tourmalet and Aspin passes in the Pyrenees offered every comfort I could have asked for. The house itself has bags of character all of which has been wonderfully preserved and (added to) by Chris' careful and sympathetic renovations. I stayed for two weeks whilst researching the passes of the Tour de France... More

This chambre d'hôte nestled at the bottom of the Pyrénées is delightful. Chris' hospitality really is second to none. The accommodation itself is clean, airy, bright and comfy. What is particularly special about this house is all the pieces of unique antique furniture - every room has been furnished uniquely. The garden & balcony offer lovely places to sit in... More

Chris Sheppard's newly-renovated Bigorrdian farmhouse is ideally located for the ski, or summer walking and cycling scene, for Campan, Payolle and Tourmalet, and very close to the town of Bagneres de Bigorre. (special rates have been negotiated for guests wanting to hire ski equipment at the nearby rental place). This itself would be recommendation enough but it's a cosy and... More

Thanks to Chris for making us all feel so comfortable and looked after. We had a long weekend ski trip booked for La Mongie, a nice 20 minute drive up the hill. Chris has worked wonders with Lacoste and deserves every success. She was kind and considerate, to the extent that on the morning my hire car failed me she... More

Stayed twice this year at Chris's Maison Lacoste. After our 1st stay in March for the ski season we just had to go back for the Tour de France. The house is in such beautiful surroundings with breathtaking views. Who could ask for more than 15mins from the ski resort? A substantial breakfast was served in a really friendly and... More
