We stayed last night...had two rooms almost at the top of the town. They were decorated in an idiosyncratic and charming fashion and we loved it. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Bags were taken up the cobbled streets and carried to our rooms by a staff member and we were given ample info about the town. The town... More

The Rooms are spread around the old town, the staff were very nice and helpful, the room is very comfortable. There is no entrance for cars, only unique vehicles that allow and practically can enter the city. It was an excellent experience to get lost in the small streets. The restaurant in the city square is excellent with very nice... More

We have just had a couple of nights at this Albergo Diffuso, having discovered it via the Albergo Diffuso website. The staff were welcoming and helpful, telling us about the village and what to do etc. However, the beds in the twin room were short and narrow, with an uncomfortable mattress so we didn't sleep well. I have stayed in... More

This is not a hotel, but a unique experience. The village of Apricale itself is fabolous and unique. One other plus: the family that runs it, welcomes you, makes you feel at home and helps a lot for anything you might need... the breakfast they prepare for you: a real italian homemade breakfast, BEST breakfast ever had in my life.

The rooms were well appointed and were ideal for a short stay. WiFi in the room we had was also a bonus despite what others have said. If we were staying for any period of time, and especially if it were in the summer, I don't think the room we had would be ideal as there was nowhere, even close... More

On top of a hill lies the adorable village of Apricale. The rooms of the hotel are unusual since they are built in original houses of the village. We were placed in an appartment where two other rooms shared a living room with us. The staff was very kind on the phone, by email and in person. The bed was... More

Very cute and unusual village. The idea of this 'hotel' is to have spread rooms accross the village. However you have other guests staying near you and like most hotel, be prepared to hear pretty much everything that is happening next door. So if you are a sensitive sleeper, bring your earplugs. Otherwise it is a nice experience and I'd... More

Apricale is a delightful hillside village in a wonderful setting. Steep narrow streets with steps make it traffic free so you must be prepared to carry luggage. Reception staff are very friendly and rooms around the village are unique with an excellent breakfast served nearby, including homemade cakes, They deserve to succeed with this venture..

The concept of an Albergo Diffuso is so perfect for Apricale which would be ruined by building a new hotel. As it is, characterful rooms/apartments are dotted around with a reception near the entry point of the village and a central restaurant for breakfast. On arrival we were given an enthusiastic welcome. As we spoke very little Italian and she... More
