Far enough from Chaweng Beach so its quieter on the beaches and only a short taxi ride away from the craziness of Chaweng beach for the late nights. The resort had a nice pool, a good restaurant with laid back seating with a nice view overlooking the water and a great beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are... more

This was my first time to Thailand and in particular Koh Samui. My partner however had been previously. We knew this wasn't the best time to travel due to the rain, however thought an afternoon shower in the heat/humidity wouldn't be so bad. The rain however did not stop! Not much you can do about the weather though. I must... more

My husband and I stayed at Baan Talay Resort in October. It was during the low season in Ko Samui. We had three nights there. We thought of going somewhere we have never been before for a short getaway and Ko Samui was just perfect for us as it only took approximately two hours to reach there from Subang, Malaysia.... more

I am glad I ignored the negative reviews posted earlier. I found the Baan Talay to be excellent. Rooms. I stayed for a week during September 2009 in a pool side room. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well designed. The TV reception was fairly random depending on time... more

I have read the reviews and wonder why anyone that travels at all would want a safe in the room when it is well known that is the most unsecure. Most hotels have a office safe that is far more secure and then you can enjoy your stay. When you travel, you cannot leave your "common sense" at home. The price... more

I stayed there for 5 days and I had a great time. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very nice and help full. The shower needed a fix up because it was getting a bit out dated. The rest of the bathroom was very nice. If you want to stay in a nice resort I can recommend... more

We stayed here in september 2009 for four nights, we chose this hotel because its beautiful beach, not crowdy, quiet surrounding (no disco's or pubs in the neighbourhood). When you wanted to go out you could catch a cab to chaweng beach city were all the pubs and disco's were. You can also walk to chaweng beach by the beach,... more

I initially avoided this place based on some of the previous reviews, but I spent some time here with my family who'd already booked. This place was nice enough to make me regret booking elsewhere at all. The pool was nice and never crowded, as was the beach outside the hotel. The rooms were clean and the service was exemplary.... more

This is the best Resort ever!! The service was GREAT and the staff was very friendly and professional. Also they were very helpful with information about how to find the Post Office, beaches, shops and nightlife hot spots. The resort is located in a GREAT spot on the beach and the free breakfast was excellant. The wireless internet service was... more

This hotel has neither the charm or friendly customer service that real boutiques possess. It is a rather over-priced shabby place next to a building site. The photographs are very misleading. The rooms are basic and shabby. despite the canvas prints that they put up to disguise the pained brickwork. The showers had no hot water in any of the... more

Dear maz1914, First of all, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the time spent writing down you experiences while staying at Baan Talay Resort. We would also like to apologize for the inconveniences you have met while you were here. If we are not mistaken, the first inconvenience that was discussed was the additional breakfast...
