Spent 4 nights here over New Years 2013/14. Pleasant hotel. Rooms were great, neat and clean with a very comfy bed. A bit of a walk to the busier parts of Chaweng but that may be a good thing. Staff were very helpful and able to assist with queries etc. A few cool bars across the road from this hotel.... More

We firstly managed to upgrade due to no availability in the rooms requested. The room was magnificent, looking straight out onto the ocean it was absolutely beautiful. Sadly the next day we had to move rooms but the next room was still lovely and clean, the girls and I were very happy. It's a great place if you want to... More

We had 5 nights at Baan Talay and really enjoyed ourselves. It’s not without its quirks but it’s friendly, clean and very well located indeed. Our “bungalow” (it was joined to other “bungalows”) was located half way between the main road and the pool. It was quiet (we slept really well) and very comfortable – big bed, tea and coffee,... When we booked this hotel we were not expecting much as we paid a fraction of what our friends paid at a bigger grander hotel....but we loved it! Quaint, clean and with a real beachy feel we felt instantly relaxed. The restaurant where breakfast is served is in an amazing position right on the beach overlooking the azure blue ocean... More

On our trip to Samui we wanted to stay in a hotel which will be closer to all the happening scene at Chaweng, still not totally in the middle of the chaos- for which Baan Talay was perfect. We were very impressed with their minimalist, but very tasteful decor. The Beach deck Restaurant was one of my most favorite part... More

When I booked this hotel I requested a room away from the road and was pleasantly surprised that I got an upgrade on arrival at no extra charge. Check in was very quick and reception staff were excellent in showing me all the amenities in the hotel and room. The room had everything I required - free wifi, complimentary tea/coffee,... More

This hotel was booked via Agoda, and I opted for a Pool View room. We checked in at around 12:30pm, and was told we'd have to wait 10 mins for the room to be ready. Two minutes later it was ready. The room was at the very front of the property and sitting on the balcony we had a partial... More

My wife and I have just got back today after 14 nights at the Baan Talay. We booked the hotel 10 months in advance and spent a lot of time choosing what we thought would be the right resort for us. We was a little concerned after we had made the booking looking at some of the reviews. When we... More
