A bit overpriced (like the rest of koh samui - for tourists), but it was very comfortable. Rooms were modern and very clean. Staff were helpful and spoke good english, although there were some complications with changes in our bookings. WE were upgraded to a seaside bungalow which was beautiful! got to see the sunrise on this side of the... More

We came to this hotel after we read the good reviews only to find the worst place we visited in Thailand. The staff are so NOT nice, an expensive medicine was STOLEN from our room and they did nothing about it, the room wasn't so clean when we got it and there is so much noise from the street. This... It's a nice place not more than that The staff are not friendly at all The wi fi is not good The towels are in bed shape There is a tv in the room but there's no cable and the selection of the movies is poor I don't recommend this place And the street is very noisy So if you... More

The 4th time we have stayed at Baan Talay. What more can I say? On Chaweng beach to the south, so quiet but still within walking distance or a short Songthaew ride away from all the action. The resort has beautiful clean, spacious rooms with rainshower bathrooms, big beds. Great pool, restaurant on the beach, which is spotlessly clean both... More

We stayed for a night only! Experienced the great smiley faces of the staff, however cocktail preparation was taking 20 min... Wirth it thigh. Ants in the bathroom, getting in my toilet bag, mosquitoes in the room, strange non-working room lockers, outdated furniture and terrible wi fi were on the down side of the hotel. View to the pool, beach... More

Great location, lovely pool, good selection at breakfast. Rooms were nice but feeling a little tired and definitely could do with sprucing up a little. Bathroom also good with powerful shower (maybe that varies room to room as the previous comment suggests otherwise...). Bit of an issue with toilet that constantly had black bits and pieces in the bowl whenever... More

Being my 1st time to Koh Samui, I selected a hotel purely on Tripadvisor reviews. In the end I choose Baan Talay because of it's beach front location, price and previous reviews. The location is good (right on the beach and not far from the main Chewung strip with plenty of restaurants and bars close by). However the rooms are... More

Very clean and affordable yet I'm reminded of upcoming kick boxing tournaments every fifteen minutes from the passing trucks with loud speakers. This hotel is not alone in this incessant noise pollution, every hotel along the main road must endure it.

Avoid this place until management and reception staff are replaced. On arrival, staff were extremely unwelcoming and made me carry my own luggage. While we were on the way to our room, they called me back and asked me to pay in advance for the room. As soon as I arrived at the room I realised why - there was... More
