I stayed at Chaweng Budget Hotel for one night on the way to Koh Phangan, and this was an excellent place to do so! My friend and I split the room which is plenty big, has a refrigerator, A/C unit, hot water and TV if you choose to stay inside. It’s literally a three minute walk from the beach and... More

Cheap and in good location, but not really the best. If you need to save money it is a good place to stay, and you will be in the center of Chaweng and near the beach. But i shall admit the place is not first class. It is clean enough but the place falls apart. Very basic. The choice is... More

The staff are very friendly but that is all. Every room has something broken or missing. We went out to dinner, came back and we had been robbed. The suspect part was that our room was still locked. Don't stay in Ko Samui if your on a budget- head to Koh Phangan- much more fun and cheaper. If you do... More

My biggest concern was that there wasn't a window which made the room dark and I actually felt very unsafe in the event of a fire - I know this sounds strange but while we were staying there, the Bangkok fire had just happened so it... I was looking for a clean dayroom to store my luggage and take a shower before my evening flight so I did not want to pay too much. Chaweng Inn seemed to fit the purpose. The difference between hotels webpage and reality could have not been any greater. I could not help laughing when I entered the room... but if... More

The room was tiny, with no window and extremely musty. The bedding was fairly clean but the bathroom had a hole in the ceiling where bugs could come through. For backpackers this is probably good value for money as it's close to the main area of Chaweng and fairly clean but I'm glad we had only booked for one night... More
