Booked by my partner for an overnight stay after a trip to Chester. Friendly staff on arrival, compact room but well finished and presented.Toilet/shower room just as good, comfortable bed. Good food, good beer ,good landlord and friendly locals. Enjoyed v/much. Only one thing but that's me, a little warm so possibly an oscillating wall fan to move the air around the... More

Stayed at the Horseshoe Inn to attend a concert at Delamere Forest and everything was perfect, the pub is in a lovely village close to Frodsham, the food was really good (we had breakfast, lunch and dinner here) and the staff especially the owners were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I cant recommend this highly enough, I... More

We only wanted somewhere cheap and cheerful. The Horseshoe fulfilled our request and more. It is a lovely country pub with accommodation upstairs. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The room was great, immaculate, clean and fresh with everything you need. Full English included in price, and believe me this will set you up... More

Having stayed at four hotels over the course of one week and this one was the least expensive but had the nicest room of all of them by far. The staff were extremely friendly and considerate. I probably would have been put off by the sky-sport banner on the front of the hotel if I had just been passing however... More

We stayed here January 2014 and as soon as we stepped in the bar was not impressed. Run down and smelt of fat and grease from the kitchens. The room was freezing and spent in the room fully dressed under covers. At one point we were watching tv and a workman just walked straight in room saw us apologized and... More

Went for a meal. Food is all real the friendliness of the staff really made it. I had a mint lamb burger and it had real food taste I understand they make these on the premises. It's got a proper pub atmosphere and just has that relaxed feel to it. Cost less than £27 for three meals and a pint... More

We have just returned from a night away at The Horshoe Inn, where we stayed to catch up with our friend. It only has 2 rooms for B&B but the pub has lovely character. The bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. We booked a table for dinner and were very pleased with the quality of the food, prices good as... More

We stayed Saturday night for a birthday party. Given own key to external door, which is great if late getting back to room. Room itself was nicely decorated, clean and the beds were very comfy, woke up very refreshed. Breakfast is served til 11:00, perfect after a nights partying, and lovely it was too...! Will definitely rebook here on our... More

We decided on Monday that we fancied a night in Cheshire on Friday and The Horseshoe Inn came up on google. It looked ok but after some recent shockers we didn't expect too much. What a surprise! The pub building didn't look much from outside as its right next to a garage forecourt but we parked in the pub car... More

Stayed here overnight after quite a busy day watching racing at Oulton Park. Not far to travel for the good supper and lovely cocktail! Not to mention the brilliant breakfast. Would highly recommend and intend returning. Thank you.
