Very close to airport. However the shuttle doesn't run before 7am. Front desk closes over night but they were flexible in letting us pay in advance and leave the key in the room. The rooms are incredibly priced for the space by European standards. The grounds are unique and interesting and not the normal industrial hotel experience. There isn't a... More

It is a wonderful hotel (former winery) near the Ciampino airport, and a short drive by car from Rome. The locatuon is remote and quiet, but convenient, with lots of free parking spaces available in a safe guarded area around the hotel. The room was not very big, but very nicely furnished, clean, and comfortable. Wonderful breakfast, helpful and friendly... More

We moved here after a bad experience at a chain hotel on the outskirts of Rome, and it was a great relief to find a real gem! This is a small hotel with large rooms (we had the suite, which would be comfortable even for a family of 4 with "American" expectations), good internet, and decent breakfast. In January (not... What a wonderful surprise and what a magnificent location. Beautiful, bucolic, panoramic, very clean. Excellent value in price/quality. One of these days we may have to spend more than just an overnight between flights. On purpose. And the staff is friendly and courteous, the breakfast is better than some 3-4 stars hotels we have visited. Very good. The only issue... More

Wonderful experience here at Residenza d'Epoca Pietra di Ponente. We took a shuttle bus from Fiumicino airport which brought us right to the door of this hotel. Lovely, serene surroundings--just the thing after a long, international flight. We had a very early morning flight from Ciampino, so this hotel is ideal for proximity. There is a dining room available and... More

Stayed in October for 6 nights. On our arrival at Ciampino Airport we were told the shuttle was already there for another pick up and we were immediately taken to the hotel. The hotel itself is in a secluded area and we decided to book a table at the restaurant for our first evening. The food was lovely although we... More

We have booked a reservation for 1 night because of our late arrival in Ciampino and the next day flight back home. For that reason I have written informed the hotel and the hotel agreed to provide transfer from airport, although our late arrival (apr. 22.30). However, when I have contacted after our arrival the reception informed me that it was... More

Stayed in October for 4 nights in a Junior Suite, the rooms are spacious and very clean, the gardens are beautiful and there is a lovely view of Rome from the Terrace. Poor customer service and not much of a bar but the staff accomodated our needs, Continental Breakfast buffet which was average. The complimentary Shuttle service to the train... More

I totaly agree of the comment of 'simple sophisticated' . It is very clean, beds are really comfortable and the decor throughout is tastefull and in character with the building, staff very helpful, gardens are lovely, fab view over Rome. We also ate evening meal and was very tasty. Not easy to find however, but if one is arriving via... More

This hotel is easily missed, but if you stumble upon it, you will be very glad! It is best described as 'simple sophisticated' (if that is possible!). It was designed by an architect who is still committed to the business and it shows. It is beautiful. To go with this, the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. They will pick... More
